- Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - At either 08:00 or 12:00, our chauffeur and English-speaking tour guide will greet you at your accommodation within the Beijing city limits. Subsequently, you will be taken to explore Tiananmen Square. As the epicenter and emblem of Beijing, Tiananmen Square stands as the world’s most expansive urban square. For over a century, this vast expanse has hosted a multitude of public festivities, official events, and protests. It was also the site of the People’s Republic of China’s inauguration on October 1st, 1949. The daily flag-raising ceremony at dawn and the flag-lowering at dusk are the square’s most hallowed rituals.
- Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Following that, you will visit the Forbidden City, which is closed on Mondays. This site is among the world’s most extensive and best-preserved palace complexes. It served as the residence of emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties from 1368 to 1912. The Forbidden City was home to 24 emperors across these dynasties. The complex’s most magnificent structures include the Taihe Hall, Zhonghe Hall, and Baohe Hall, with over 9,000 rooms maintained to this day.
