Korean Folk Village - The folk village is an excellent choice to explore, enjoy and eat Korean food. Suwon fortress was amazing. The place is a good place for family since it has picnic area along water stream with an amusement park for children.

An informative and worthy experience - Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed this tour. The guide was very informative and friendly. I wasn't sure what to expect in the village but I thought it would be a functioning village where people lived. It was more like an outdoor museum. Not saying I was misled or anything like that, I either didn't read enough or just made my own assumption. But still enjoyed the history and looking at the old buildings. I would recommend bringing sunscreen and an umbrella for the fortress tour if it's summer. It was very hot with a lot of full sunlight. Last thing has more to do with visiting Korea in general, download the Papago app to help with translating. It has been incredibly useful for our visit in general and really helpful at the market at the end of this tour.

Great intersection of past and present Korea - Had a great day with tour guide Laura. She shared a lot of great information throughout the day about Korean life and history. We never felt rushed and it was a great schedule for the day. The folk village is very educational and the timing of the visit makes it possible to catch a traditional dance and music show, which is worth it. The fortress is an impressive site to go to, but obviously in the heat of the summer it can get uncomfortable, so just dress accordingly. Again, totally worth it. The market is not touristy at all, giving you a glimpse of Korean life. The roasted duck is unbelievably good.

Jennie was great! - Jennie was a great tour guide for this group. She was very accommodating for people in our group considering how walking is done on this tour. She also had a lot of fascinating facts about the fortress as well as the village we visited. The market was great to walk around as well as buying a few treats too!

Korean Folk Village - I was last there in 1974. It has greatly expanded and is even more informative as to the lives of Koreans hundreds of years ago.

Good peaceful tour away from Seoul crowds - Cecilia was an excellent tour guide. She was very attentive to everyone’s needs… The fort was the highlight of the tour for me. I wish we had more time there rather than the market or the village. If I ever got back to Seoul, I will visit it using the regular subway as now I’m more familiar with the area.

Educational tour - This was a great way to learn more about Korea and it's cultural. We found this tour educational and there was enough time to see everything. We even had time to dress up and have our picture taken. I considered wearing Hanbok but that store was incredibly busy and the "Photo shop" was very fast. Our guide Sherry was incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Suwon Korean Folk Village and Hwaseong Fortress - The weather was rainy and a little colder/windier than expected and some didn't prepare for this. Given the size of the group and the varying differences in personalities, I felt sympathy for our guide(s) trying to accommodate everyone's needs. It held up the rest of us who just wanted to get moving. (Especially problematic at Hwaseong Fortress). That being said, the tour itself is great. The 3 places we visited were all a fascinating glimpse into Korean history and I really enjoyed it. Our guide remained cheerful through the chaos, which I appreciate. I've had really positive experiences with Viator, highly recommend!
