A rare unique experience...Highly Recommended. - From the moment the tour began, it was clear that this was not just about food but an immersive experience into the Basque culture, guided by experts with a true passion for their city's gastronomy. The selection of pintxos and wine pairings was exceptional. The guides were truly knowledgeable, not just about the food/wine but also about San Sebastian's history and culinary traditions. Perhaps the most exciting part was the discovery of hidden gems-places we might have walked past without a second glance. These places delivered some of the most amazing pintxos we had eaten. Overall, this tour is a MUST for food lovers! It strikes the perfect balance between a little history and indulgence, offering a deeper appreciation of Basque cuisine while treating us all to an unforgettable evening. Oh wait...did I forget to mention the final stop...a chocolate stop. Not just any chocolate...the best! This tour is highly recommended.

A Must-Do Pintxo & Local Delights Tour in San Sebastián - I went on this pintxo and local food tour in San Sebastián with a friend, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We chose it based on a recommendation from friends who did it last year, and we weren’t disappointed. Our guides, Ania and Ernes, were great—knowledgeable, engaging, and fun without being over-the-top. They had so many interesting insights about the city, its food, and its culture that I would have completely missed if I had just gone from bar to bar on my own. I usually prefer exploring independently, so I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a guided tour, but this experience made me appreciate how much more you can get out of a place when someone truly knows it inside and out. We visited a couple of pintxo bars, each with its own atmosphere and specialties. My favorite stop was Bar Antonio, where we had an amazing leek and bacalao pintxo (I forgot the exact name, but I have a photo). It had a refined presentation but tasted like something homemade in the best way—simple, comforting, and full of flavor. Each pintxo came with a different wine pairing, and all of them were well chosen. A stop at a small, old-fashioned liquor store added a nice break in between the food stops. We tried some traditional liqueurs and almond cookies, which was something I wouldn’t have thought to seek out on my own but really enjoyed. The tour ended with a visit to a local craft chocolate factory run by a Mexican chocolatier with Basque roots. The chocolate flavors were unexpected (sheep cheese chocolate, vermouth chocolate), but they worked surprisingly well. Beyond the tasting itself, the owner’s passion and knowledge about chocolate made this stop really memorable. The whole experience was well-paced and thoughtfully put together. It was just under three hours but never felt rushed, and each stop added something unique to the tour. Highly recommended!

Going pintxos "for real" - We hired this tour to really know what it was like to "go pintxos" in San Sebastian. The guides, Ania and Ernes, explained many super authentic things and were super close. Pintxos, very very rich and varied. And the drink, very fine. And as a final brooch, we took a tasting of gourmet chocolates and also, they taught us many secrets about chocolate that we did not know. A delight!!!

Not your typical pinxtos tour - I recently went on a food&wine tour with Kasia & Ernes, and must say I really loved it. I am new to Donostia, but as a foodie- I already went to many pinxtos bars. But on this tour I really liked the side stories about the Basque food&wine culture. Loved the alcohol pairings and the pace of it. It was fun, light, and interesting. And now, I’m planning to try Rioja tour with them on the next occasion.

Best tour ever - The food! The guides! The food! The guides! Can you tell I am jumping up and down? This tour was an all-time favorite. I'm not a tour type person, but this one caught my eye. I wanted to experience local culture in a non touristy way, and I didn't know how to go about it. Ania and Ernes were AMAZING. Here’s why - they took us to places in San Sebastian that were authentic and unique. They introduced us to food, owners, and establishments that were special in different ways. This was not a typical “Pintxo Tour.” This was an experience of San Sebastian through the hearts of well-educated locals who love Basque Country. The walkability of this beautiful city doesn't hurt, and the pace felt unhurried and natural. It was as though we were walking from location to location with friends we hadn't seen in a long time. We learned about cheeses, wines, and the history of Pintxos. We also learned how the very first Pintxo came about and how its name is famous. I didn't feel like I was in a history class. I didn't feel like I was being shuffled about. I had the BEST time and was sad when it ended. And OMG, I was so full. Every mouthful was DELICIOUS.

For Foodies & Culture Lovers - My wife and I explored some of the tours available in Donostia to get to know the city and its cuisine. We decided to try Ikunnashi-Food Tours. Our tour guides, Ania and Ernes, were fantastic and great company. We visited several excellent bars and restaurants, as well as a wine shop, Vinos Martínez, which has 100 years of history. The owner is very knowledgeable, attentive, & welcomed us warmly. We ended with Lurka, probably the best craft chocolate shop in the city. Some of the bars and restaurants where we enjoyed great wines and delicious pintxos were Arenales, Bar Antonio in the Boulevard, Mendaur, and Haizea Bar. At each stop, we tasted excellent pintxos paired with a good wine. At Arenales, we had an organic wine with a selection of flavorful Basque cheeses. As part of the tour, we also tasted vermouth and other drinks at Vinos Martínez, and at the end, we indulged in a delicious hot chocolate with chocolate pieces at Lurka. All the establishments in our tour are outstanding places in Donostia. We appreciated that Ania and Ernes, our guides, led the tour at a relaxed pace, without rushing, while providing great historical and cultural insights at each stop. This information greatly enriched our food tour experience! The pace of the tour also allowed us participants to chat and share our experiences with each other. We enjoyed it so much that the three hours flew by without us even noticing. Thanks Ania & Ernes for such a great tour. We enjoyed all of it!

Our Ikunnashi Tour - Our tour with Ikunnashi My wife and I explored some of the tours available in Donostia to get to know the city and its gastronomy. We decided to try Ikunnashi-Food Tours. Our guides, Ania and Ernes, were great and very nice. We visited several excellent bars and restaurants, plus a wine shop, Martinez Wines, with 100 years of history, and Lurka, probably the best artisan chocolate in town. Some of the bars and restaurants where we taste good wines and taste delicious pintxos were Arenales, Bar Antonio on Boulevard, Mendaur and Haizea Bar. In each place we enjoy one or two excellent pintxos accompanied by a good wine. At Arenales, we taste a good organic wine with a variety of tasty Basque cheeses. We enjoyed that our tour with Ikunnashi excellently combined the history of Donostia with the visit to top bars and restaurants, where we enjoyed pintxos and high quality wines. As part of the tour, we also taste vermouth and other drinks at Vinos Martínez, and at the end, we enjoy a delicious hot chocolate accompanied by pieces of chocolate at Lurka. Both businesses are great references in Donostia. Wines Martinez has been an emblematic winery of the city for 100 years. High quality wines! Her owner is a great wine connoisseur, very attentive and hospitable. Our guides We loved that Ania and Ernes, our guides, took us at a relaxed pace, without hurry, visiting different bars while providing us with an excellent historical and cultural context of each place. The pace of the tour also allowed participants to converse and exchange views. We enjoyed it so much that the three hours passed without us noticing. Thanks Ania and Ernes for a great tour. We enjoy it! Tato and Darlena
