Amazing! - The rainforest was breathtaking. Our guide Joaquín was so knowledgeable and caring about the forest, and would point out plants and animals we never would have noticed ourselves. We felt so lucky to have picked this excursion while we were in the country. If you want to experience and learn about a real rainforest, this is the way to go. The area is conserved, so "the forest is not here for you; it's just here."

Amazing Experience! Thank you Pablo!!!! - Hi there. Kristina Diaz here. Thank you so much! Isabella and I had a wonderful time with you today. It was a very memorable experience and we will always remember our day in the rain forest and especially the sloth, the snakes and the white bats. Thank you for your incredible knowledge and for being so patient with us. We will definitely come back! We wish you much luck accomplishing your goals!

Amazing experience - Amazing experience. Incredible place. Walk in the rainforest, we went to waterfalls, natural pools, and an amazing lunch. Just be careful in case you have limitations, I have bad knees and got worse because of the steps. But this is not on them, just my body that cannot handle.

10/10 Recommend - What a fun experience! By husband and I took this tour during our honeymoon and just couldn’t get over it! Joaquin was our tour guide, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to hike with. It was rainy for most of the hike, but that didn’t bother us at all- although I would recommend quick dry clothes. The thermal springs were gorgeous and the food at the base was excellent- our favorite meal from the trip (get the chicken and rice!!).

Otherworldly & worth the ROUGH ride!! - Prepare to be transported!! From the moment you hit the dirt road, your journey will be unlike anything you have done before! Our guides were incredibly attentive, the preparation and equipment were top-notch, and of course the snacks and sights were remarkable. For our family outing of eight, they split us into two groups; one more leisurely, and one more strenuous. It was absolutely perfect! For the oldest member of our group, the steps proved to be quite difficult and our guide was more than gracious to help! We were still able to see thermal pools and a waterfall at a more relaxed pace. Our family ranged from age 7 to age 80. The experience of being in this spectacular rainforest will not be forgotten! Must haves: aqua sox/keens or similar for the waterfalls and thermal pools, and loose fitting/ very lightweight hiking pants to pull over a wet bathing suit. Note of caution: the last 45 to 60 minutes of the drive are INCREDIBLY rough road. It seems that the Sensoria shuttle/ transportation is not adequate for the roads. It would be an amazing investment to have a higher clearance vehicle with larger shocks, struts, and off-road tires-or at least some thing all-wheel-drive just in case you get stuck!!

What a great experience - Wow, definitely tell the best activity and experience we had so far in our Costa Rica trip this year. Pablo our tour guide was super kind, knowledgeable and great with my five year old. If you’re looking for a custom private tour to see waterfalls and pools of beautiful water so clear you can see the bottom at all times this is the place. A slice of heaven on earth. Thanks for a great memory, Pablo and Sensoria showed us bit of heaven on earth today. Thank you.

Joaquin is the best! - We had a tour guide all to ourselves! Joaquin Matarrita, Head Experience Creator, was so knowledgeable and fun! We had great conversations and learned so much about the rainforest. He had such a great eye for spotting creatures throughout the space! He was so patience with us as we needed to take extra breaks due to a person in our party being older with some health issues. He made the experience even more magical!

Back in a Heartbeat - This was a fantastic hike in the rain forest. We traversed 4 miles, and went up and down 1300 steps. We cooled off in four different pools with waterfalls. The last one was actually a mineral spring with the waterfall pouring into it. We were fed a traditional Costa Rican breakfast snack on the way with pastries and the best coffee in the world. Our dinner was excellent. The best part of the trip was just being able to experience the rain forest. We saw Congo monkeys, white-faced monkeys, sloths, and several different varieties of venomous frogs. Isaac and Herberto, our guides, we’re very diligent. Everything ran on time, and they took good care of us. I would go back in a heartbeat.

WOW. A gem of an experience - This was an absolute highlight of our visit. We did the luxury plus tour and spent the day walking through a rainforest seeing a variety of animals like toucans, snakes, sloths, monkeys, etc. It was spectacular! Our guides Pedro & Issac were wonderful and very knowledgeable. The waterfalls did not disappoint. Thermal pool swimming was my favorite. We had a lovely lunch by one of the pools. We didn't get to do the lookout tower due to cloud cover, but saw so much else. We were picked up in Tamarindo and one thing I will say is to plan for a 12 hour day if you do this. 6 hours of driving, minimum depending on where you are. We were partially prepared for this, but thought it would be closer to 2 hours. I would suggest saying in Liberia and doing this tour from there to cut down on transit time and fully enjoy the pools and experience more. We might have stayed a little longer if we weren't facing a 3 hour drive home! But, all in all we are SO happy we did this and if we come back to Costa Rica we will absolutely stay in the rain forest more and explore there more as it was by far the highlight.

Be wary - I will start off by saying that the actual Sensoria Land of the Senses is a beautiful and extremely well run place. If you can book with them through your resort, I would probably do that. I booked through here, a private tour, which cost over $700. That's a lot of money but I thought it would be worth it. Our booking was forgotten and when I tried to contact the operator, the number was invalid. Eventually, after roughly two hours, we were able to get contact and they sent a driver. The land of Sensoria nature guide told me he was informed last minute about our reservation so I know we were forgotten about. It greatly delayed our day and we spent the morning waiting around to be picked up and also trying to sort everything out after we realized what was happening. I'm not one to get upset, but this is the last thing I wanted to do on my Costa Rica trip. I probably should have confirmed my booking prior, however, it's not my job to keep up with it. Especially with how much money it was. You'd think we'd get some compensation but only excuses. Like I said, book through your resort if you can. It is an amazing place with amazing people.
