In this citywalk through the baroque old town, you will see the tourists favourite attractions. You will gain fascinating insights into the history of saxony and it’s architecture. How the game of power between megalomania and icecold calculation at the saxonian court turned out, you will learn in curious tales of the electors and kings. It also includes surprising information on the prevalent local art style and the rich culture of the city.

WE TRAVEL THROUGH TIME

This tour takes you from the Zwinger into the heart of Dresdens old town, the Neumarkt with the church of our lady. I will tell you, what the famous Zwinger actually is & we will visit Dresden Castle. Looking into the past, we will cover many things that are just not there anymore. To leave you not only to your imagination, I will always provide you with fitting imagery or videos for comparison.

It was a very nice city... - It was a very nice city tour, and the guide, Thomas, made it very interesting, insightful, and entertaining. The two-hour long tour could have been longer :). There is no overload of information, but the necessary insights to learn more about the architecture and history of the city. Thank you very much.

Great tour of a historic city - Thomas was a GREAT guide. I would take the same tour again—it was very enjoyable. So much history and Thomas is a font of knowledge, especially at pointing out interesting details with historical context. And he was raised in Dresden, so he has personal knowledge of some of the developments the last 20 years.

A wonderful fun and super interesting tour - Thomas was very knowledgeable. We loved that the tour was not the history of Dresden in two hours but the history told through art and architecture with such detail and humour. He clearly loves it and thus we loved it to. Absolutely fascinating.

Great tour guide! - Thomas was a great tour guide. We enjoyed our time with him. He told colorful stories that helped to understand the mind set of the people who lived during the time. He incorporated interesting art history and architecture details. We would definitely recommend Thomas!
