- Urquhart Castle - Departing from Inverness, we journey southwest along the Great Glen to Loch Ness, pausing for a photo opportunity at Urquhart Castle. We’ll also take a moment to see some Highland Cows during our trip.
- Fort Augustus - We pass through Fort Augustus, located at the southern tip of Loch Ness.
- Well of the Seven Heads coffee & takeaway - We stop at the Well of the Seven Heads Monument and descend to the well where the heads were washed before being presented to the chief of Clan Macdonell.
- Commando Monument - We make a brief stop at the Commando Memorial just outside Spean Bridge, where, on a clear day, you can enjoy a stunning view of Ben Nevis and the Nevis range.
- Glenfinnan Monument - The Glenfinnan Monument stands at the end of Loch Shiel, where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745.
- Glenfinnan Viaduct - The railway viaduct in Glenfinnan, over 100 years old, is best known as the filming location for the steam train in the Harry Potter series.
- Ben Nevis - On our return journey from Glenfinnan to Fort William, we hope to catch a nice view of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK.
- Neptune’s Staircase - We make a brief stop at Neptune’s Staircase, a series of lock gates where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Linnhe.
- Glencoe Visitor Centre - We visit the Glencoe Visitor Centre, where we can see a reproduction of a 17th-century dwelling, the turfhouse. We also continue up the Glen to the Three Sisters of Glencoe viewpoint.
