Dubai! Pros & Cons - Short & Sweet Guide to Dubai - Summary: 1. Dubai is a potboiler of cultures. Your mind will open up and widen to new people and systems. 2. One of the well planned cities in the World. 3. Modern and futuristic city. Pros: 1. Dune bashing- best experience - try Ocean Air travels. Premium, but worth every Dhiram. 2. No problem on F&B, you get everything on a budget although a little expensive. 3. Lots to see, may take multiple visits to cover all the places. 4. A lot of currency exchange counters in the city limits. 5. Taxis are well regulated, no one refused a drop irrespective of distance. 6. NOL silver card for Abra ride, metro and bus is super useful. 7. Burj Khalifa & Dubai Fountain is a must visit at night. Cons: 1. Don't believe everything you read about the places to see in Dubai on Google. Talk to a local relative/friend living there at the moment, they will tell you the gems worth visiting. 2. Rely on taxi drivers for directions than pedestrians. 3. Burj Khalifa is 500m away from the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro station. It is a long walk, don't take the Maps route at face value.
