Best ever ride with Mr farooq - Ist of all we got very worm welcome from our tour guide Mr Farooq and then we headed straight to Lahbab Desert, which is known for its unique red sand dunes where we experienced dune bashing. Our driver took us on a thrilling 30-45 minute ride up and down the tall sand dunes with a 4×4 (4WD drive) vehicle, which was exciting and fun.  The ride was well bumpy and felt like a roller coaster, but we felt safe and didn’t have to worry thanks to our guide who was a skilled, highly experienced and licensed driver. During the journey he also ensured that we were all okay by frequently checking up on us and gave us bottles of water to keep us hydrated. Additionally, there was another 4-wheel drive vehicle (with no passengers) following us during dune bashing, so if anything happens, they have a team to support and react real fast. To add to the Arabian experience, our guide also played Arabic music during the ride, and made the journey more fun! One thing to keep in mind is not to eat too much before the dune bashing tour as it can make you feel a bit car sick. This was my favourite activity of all! Even though I never tried skate boarding or skiing, I managed to slide down successfully with the instructions from the guide. I did fall off in the end, but the sand was so soft that it didn’t hurt at all! The challenging part is climbing up the sand dunes afterwards, as the sand keeps sinking and sliding down. You can take it as the desert work out I suppose haha! As this tour only had a maximum of 6 people, I got to try sandboarding twice (I could have done more but walking up the sand dunes was too tiring), that’s why I love joining small size tours and suggest you too! And at the end big thanks to the safari team and our guide farooq to give us the tremendous ride and fun with his high class hospitality and driving stills....

Terrible, please do not be fooled by the photos or website - Absolutely terrible. Paid a premium price, was advertised that we would each get to drive. So a buggy each or two to share. When we got there, we were told to go into a 4 person buggy. We then asked if we can go into the two person, but told that’s extra. If we had of booked two groups of two, for the same price we could have gone in the 2 person. Considering the price we paid, this was terrible. We had to stop and ask to swap. One of us missed out on driving completely because the time ran out. Very poor service. Our driver was excellent, friendly and helpful. He was great when it came to the 4wd in the patrol, felt safe but still had heaps of fun. Coming from a country with our own desert and 4wd, this was a good part. The drive to the ‘camp’ was extremely long and uneventful. Missed the sunset due to being in the car. When we got to the ‘camp’, it was just a dust bowl. Looked like it had been made out of stuff laying around. Walking in, they had carpet on the floor, great, if it was placed down flat. With the sun down and little to no light, I and two others tripped. I ripped the bottom of my shoe off, the others just had a knee replacement. Not happy We were told the complementary water and soft drinks were not available till 8, by one of the men walking around selling alcohol. I’m guessing he was hoping people just needed a drink and would pay for the alcohol. Told that to one of the managers and he disagreed with us, choosing to get quite angry with us. As if we would make stuff up and lie. Brings me to the food, it was terrible. Some of us didn’t eat, definitely not with the outlandish money we payed. Having seen our friends who had a lovely camp, a great time 4wd. We expected our experience to be the same and reflect how much we payed. Extremely disappointed. We have contacted the company, who their team have acknowledged their deception on the website and aimed to make right by offering a partial refund. They have now broken their word, by refusing to do a partial refund. Please shop around, this product is not worth the money. There are hundreds of operators exactly like these guys that can offer a better service. I would like to hear back to see if this problem can be rectified.
