Great value for the price! This a must for whoever wants to enjoy the desert and have a taste of local food. 5 stars! - I'm a Dubai resident and wanted to take my friends to a desert tour. Ocean Air Travel was the perfect choice! The guides took care of everything, the activities were even better than described. We did 40min camel ride in the desert at the sunset guided by a beduin, we enjoyed the local snacks and dinner (the buffet was very well organised and we got a taste of Emiratis food - delicious!). The entertainment shows were pleasant, and we even got a henna tattoo! I rate this experience 5 stars, and I highly recommend it! Ps. We also did a short dune bashing experience from the car park to the camp in the desert, it was good fun!

Super tour in the desert - Our guide Qasim Zia already informed us the night before when he will pick us up and was there on time. The tour was super nice with a camel ride, photo with a falcon, a Jeep tour through the desert and sandboarding. Qasim explained a lot to us and also took many photos of us, which he then sent to us all. He was very helpful and very friendly. For the price a great experience.

A really great trip to the desert - We had a great trip to the desert that completely exceeded our expectations. The transfer by our very nice guide Asifashraf worked great. We learned a lot about life in Dubai, the desert and the camels through him and also felt very well looked after by him overall! Once at the camp we had the opportunity to feed baby camels. Afterwards we went on tour with the adult camels for about 40 minutes through the dunes. We even had the opportunity to ride a “own” camel.-What an experience to see the sunset! In between, the nice guides took photos and videos to capture the beautiful experiences. Back at the camp we were also welcomed very nicely again. We were allowed to enjoy very delicious food, the shows, who wanted to be painted with henna or smoke hookah. The whole organization was really perfect! All guides were concerned about the well-being of the guests. Even though many guests were at the camp, it was never uncomfortable or loud. We liked the whole trip so much that we are already considering planning the next one! So: an absolute recommendation!!

Unique experience to try - Unique experience, very different if you come from a country with other customs. Well organized and many activities in one day. We ended up tired. It is advisable to hire the trip with quad bikes or cars although they do not let you play crazy (too bad). Hearty and delicious final food, with a wide variety of typical country food. The only thing I have left over is the interest they always had in selling you as much as possible (photos in each of the activities), although it is a business from what I understand. Highly recommended

Definitely not 45 minutes of camel trekking - Firstly, I want to say that our driver Babar was EXCEPTIONAL and I would give him 5* rating all day long. Pick up was very easy, communication was great, he explained everything well, had lots of knowledge that he was happy to share, answered questions, took photos for us - I cannot sing his praises highly enough. Ocean Air have a fantastic employee and need to look after him! We booked a 45 minute camel trek, with all camp activities (I would have been happy just booking the camel trek as had little interest in the camp itself, but it was a good experience). This experience was substantially more expensive than a lot of other similar camps, but I do think it was worth the money overall. Would I return? No. This is a ‘one and done’ experience IMO. 100% geared up for tourists, there is nothing at all genuine about these experiences. However, it is fun and if you don’t mind the facade, you will enjoy it. There are about 45 different camps all located in a small area, all following a similar pattern. To me it does not feel special, but it was a nice taster of the desert. Camel Trek - Don’t waste money on the extended ‘45 minute’ trek. You just ride in a slightly bigger circle than the ‘free’ camel ride included in the basic camp package. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the camel ride, it was not a trek (we covered about 400m) - the views were mainly the other camps dotted around. The dunes were littered with water bottles and rubbish. The camels themselves appeared well cared for. We walked for 10 minutes to a very small dune at the edge of the camp, where the guide then got us off our camels for 25 minutes of taking photographs standing in the dunes - this made me very uncomfortable as I don’t like posing for pictures. He spent significant time with my friend, whilst I stood by and watched. Eventually we got back on the camels and walked back to the camp (10 mins). So your 45 minute trek is actually about 20 minutes of actual riding, and you only go a hundred meters or so from camp. Camp Activities - by the time we had done the 45 minutes of photographs in the dunes, we had no time to enjoy any of the other activities sadly. There are around 100+ people at these camps, and the queue for the 3 ladies doing Henna, or the 2 falcons were just too long. We bought souvenirs (bracelets) which we were repeatedly told were real silver, only to find out they are stainless steel (when you open the box at home it is printed on the back of the jewellery), so beware. Queues for telescopes for the stargazing were so long, and the light pollution from Dubai meant you could look at the moon and maybe one or two stars. Having to repeatedly remove shoes every time you wanted to sit at your allocated table was difficult for me as I have a disability. Food - the food was very good, and it was an enjoyable meal. However, things did run out quickly - my friend is a vegetarian, and by the time our table got to go to the Buffett, most of the vegetarian options had run out. They offered her another soup which they claimed was vegetarian but actually contained shellfish. I am very allergic to shellfish, so had I tried that soup it could have been a different outcome. Shows - these were bad. I’m not sure if the dancers went on strike, but one of the acts was announced as ‘dancers’ but a single female dancer took to the stage and performed a Bollywood style routine which seems to be completely out of context for the setting. The fire show at the very end was ok, but very short and ended very abruptly with no real finale. Overall, it was worth the money as a one-time experience, but I wouldn’t recommend the camel trek as this was a complete joke.
