Ahoy there! Cruise Dun Laoghaire to Howth - Ahoy there! Cruise Dun Laoghaire to Howth Had a great afternoon on Saturday on the Dublin Bay Cruise from Dun Laoghaire to Howth. We returned to Dun Laoghaire by DART. We were a family group celebrating a birthday - ages 2 – 70+ 😏 😉 Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly and helpful when we were making our bookings. An especially big thank you to Daniella and Olwyn. If you cannot get through by phone send an email and they are very good at replying or making contact by phone. The boat was easy to find near the start of the East Pier. The staff on the pier were very welcoming and generated a really nice friendly atmosphere before we boarded. They carried on the buggy. The boat was comfortable and had lots of seats inside and several areas of outside deck for better view of the sea. Though we did not purchase at the bar, it was nice to see small groups sitting enjoying a drink and chatting. The crew on board were friendly. Loo was spotless. The children loved seeing the fish and jellyfish swimming beside the boat. They were very impressed by the container ships and the ferry and all the small sailing boats. There was some disappointment at not seeing seals but even that generated chat from the children about the seals probably having pups and maybe the seals didn’t want them to get hit by a boat and they wouldn’t do what they were told!! The commentary as we sailed along was very informative and interesting with attention drawn to lots of things along the way. We had the added bonus of the weather being very nice and the sea calm. We all had a great afternoon. I would recommend the trip.
