Kicking off at the Duke Pub on Duke Street, this literary pub crawl will take you to famous pubs and haunts while actors recite verses from the best Irish literature. You can sink a pint while learning about the lives of these great writers and hear some of the hilarious stories that became folklore in Dublin’s literary circles. PLEASE NOTE: During Covid we reserve the right to cancel tours at short notice due to lack of numbers attending.

A great evening out - We had a fantastic evening with Colm and John. To be honest I have not read very much Irish literature and so was slightly concerned that I wouldn't understand some of the references on the tour, but I needn't have worried, the guys were excellent , they managed to make it both funny and educational.
We loved every minute of it and the chance to have a few beers at the same time was a nice bonus.

The perfect way to spend a damp evening in Dublin! - Our first night in Dublin and the weather was miserable but this was the perfect tonic.
Informative and thoroughly entertaining. Highly recommended.

Wonderful evening of history, literature, music and pints! - Literature, theatre, history, music and pints! John on guitar and literary actor Callum (sp?) were incredible! Highly recommend this - our 25 year old daughter enjoyed as well!

See Dublin pubs through a literary lense - This is such a great tour. I’m from Dublin but took my two lads in their twenties who live in the UK and my brother visiting from Melbourne. We all thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Frank and Finbar were excellent, engaging and great hosts. I would definitely recommend this tour especially off season when it’s quiet and groups are smaller.

Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Dublin - I was recommended to do this tour by a friend after she did it a few years back and I'm so glad we did! Finbar and Frank were great, they were brilliant at their job and also really fun to be around.
It's a great way to meet people, go to some fantastic pubs, and the quiz at the end rounded it off perfectly.

A great night out in Dublin - Really knowledgeable guide who was entertaining and a very good performance artist. John and his guitar provided excellent musical accompaniment and the choice of pubs was great. Would highly recommend.

The best evening out in Dublin. - Brilliant evening with accomplished performances from the narrator and singer/guitarist. Full of good humour, interesting facts and very well organised. Always made sure that everyone was present and close enough to hear, and ample time for drinking in each of the four pubs visited. Interesting quiz questions with answers to be found inside the pubs, and just the right amount of walking in between.

The best way to read Ulysses! - Fantastically Irish experience with 2 amazing and fun storytellers (Frank and Finbar): we drank, we laughed, we cried and we learned something about Irish literature and history along the way. I’d do it again next week if I could 😁

Hilarious would highly recommend - This was a hilarious and informative literary pub crawl. As we walked from pub to pub learning about the Irish writers we were entertained with stories, songs, and part of a play.
