VIP Whiskey & Guinness Adventure: A Dublin Dream Day with Whiskey Island - Our Dublin Private Guinness and Jameson Whiskey Tour with Transfers was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we received a friendly text from our guide, John Callely (Junior), the day before the tour, we knew we were in good hands. John’s punctual arrival at our hotel in a sleek, luxurious car set the tone for a seamless day of exploration. First stop: Guinness! With VIP access through a backdoor entrance, we bypassed all the crowds and lines. John’s knowledge and passion for Dublin’s heritage shone through in every fascinating story and detail he shared. The tour felt tailored just for us, like a stroll through history with an old friend. He even offered to take our photo and was incredibly patient as we lingered over the parts that captivated us most. After soaking up the panoramic views and savoring a freshly poured Guinness, John whisked us off to Jameson, where we enjoyed yet another seamless experience. Skipping lines, he accompanied us right up to our tasting experience, giving us space to immerse ourselves in the presentation of four whiskeys. We reconvened afterward for some souvenir shopping, with John offering expert advice on where to find the best keepsakes. And the service didn’t stop there! Instead of just dropping us at the hotel, he took our newly acquired treasures back for us while we enjoyed lunch nearby at one of his favorite spots. He even arranged to have our items safely placed in our room. It was as if he was not only our guide but also our personal concierge, making us feel entirely taken care of. John’s warm personality and effortless conversation made the entire tour feel like a morning with an old friend, sharing laughter and insights along the way. This tour was worth every penny and more—an experience so smooth and enjoyable that it’s a must-do for anyone visiting Dublin. We’d book another tour with John in a heartbeat and can’t wait to recommend this gem of a tour to all our friends!

Excellent - You must book this tour! It was the most amazing, genuine and authentic tour our family has ever booked, and all we ever book are private tours. John was very personable, knowledgeable and went above and beyond for our tour. This is the only tour operator I would ever book with when returning back to Dublin, the money spent was very well worth it.

This tour was awesome! ... - This tour was awesome! John is very knowledgeable about what to see and what to skip. Since he had worked at the Jameson facility, he knew everyone and walked us straight in. It was a much easier way to experience these two venues versus dealing with the masses. Thank you John, we had a great time!

Unexpected Generosity - Due to rough seas our port call in Dublin was canceled at the last minute. I was able to contact our guide John in the hope of saving him the drive to the port. I knew we were outside the 24 hour cancellation window and was prepared (unhappily) to eat the cost. Much to my delight, John offered to refund all costs for the tour except for the cost of entry fees which he had paid and could not recoup. Although I am unable to comment on the quality of the tour, I am sure based upon John's honesty and generosity the tour would have been great. I will defiantly book with him next time we are in Dublin.

High marks for our tour experience! - We were picked up by John our guide, and Jeff our driver, in a Mercedes Van comfortable for the 4 of us on the tour. John gave us great commentary on the streets we were driving for the 30 minute or so drive to Guinness. He was able to shepard us thru the facility and gave us great insight. This was first class. We could leave our bags in the van with Jeff so we were light on our feet. The tour ended with a tasting on top floor in the Guinness bar. As an option, you could buy tickets to the Guinness Storehouse but this was a great way to plus up the tour and trip, without having to think thru the details. From there, he took us to Jameson where the Jameson guide took front and Centre for a wider group. Both pieces were enjoyable. For what we were looking for, expectations were more than met. John and Jeff extremely professional. And we saw a beautiful side of Dublin on what turned out to be a great sunny day. Mike and Joanne
