Perfect non crowded experience! - Beside the choppy waters the two young ladies operating the boat made it a safe, memorable, and fun experience. We did not see that many sea birds because of the weather but got alot Informationen about the area and the people living there.

A fun experience admidst some choppy waves - Our crew was very kind and funny joking about the poor sea conditions and explaining some of the history and culture of the area. While we were unable to complete the full experience due to poor sea conditions it was honestly a little more fun for the spray in our faces and joy in the ride.

Take the boat! - The trip was fun, a little rough water but that added some excitement! You go very close to the rocks and can get a close up view of the birds that live there. I wish I would have had binoculars. I love seeing the land from the water. I recommend the trip.

Take an hour and enjoy the ride! - Boat captain was very knowledgeable about Ireland’s Eye and its wildlife. We were lucky to see harbor seals and of course a variety of birds. And it was a perfect day!

Not recommended (at least not in the fall) - I know most people rate this boat trip well, but in mid-October, it was not worth the time or money (€26.50). It simply consisted of a boat ride out of the harbor, around the small island offshore where we saw a few harbor seals and a few gannets (birds), and then right back into the harbor. In addition, it was very difficult to hear anything the captain was saying (because of the loud boat engine) as he tried to point a few things out. It may be a good trip during the summer when puffins and lots of other birds may be visible, or if you take a boat that goes down the shore along the cliffs, but my recommendation at this time of year is not to bother going on this trip. My thoughts afterwards were “Well, that was a waste of money.” The captain was very nice and friendly, though.
