A hidden gem - This museum is such a little gem hidden away in Dalkey. My mum and I had a brilliant day there, starting with the museum tour. I wasn't sure I'd like the immersive experience but I actually loved it, the actors were fantastic and funny while also being very informative. The staff were extremely friendly overall and I loved learning about Dalkey. So much history packed into such a small place. It made the visit over to Dalkey Island that much better afterwards as well, once we knew a bit more of the history. Great views looking back at the coast line from there, and a friendly boat man working for Ken's ferry too!

Dalkey is not to be missed when you come to Ireland - Minota is a fabulous guide and most welcoming. The castle/heritage center exhibits and the living history actors were both entertaining and informative. The actors played their parts to perfection. There hands on activities for all ages. the Views from the top were worth the climb up the narrow, winding, irregular castle tower steps. Take your time and use the handrails and you'll be fine. Make your own commemorative coin for a souvenir to take home. So glad we went
