Fascinating exhibition, sensitively presented - I learned a great deal about the topic. The exhibition covered many angles about the cause, effect and consequences. It was sensitively presented and had great impact by concentrating on the history and highlighting the conficting political and economic aspects. Impressed that the Quakers helped out with no strings attached. The most shocking imagw was the use of battering rams to demolish tenants' housing. It has taken 180 years for the population numbers to recover. Gerarrd was a mine of information.

An interesting exhibition - Very interesting exhibition. Information is summarised in a film and on easy to read posters which are illustrated with copies of original photos and drawings.

Irish Famine Museum - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - We saw this exhibit after a seeing a recommendation on Trip Advisor, and so so glad we did. It's a very condensed and very thorough telling of the famine, the causes, tragic consequences and how it played a role in radicalizing many of the Irish population. Very well done. It took us 45 minutes to complete (storyboards and a 15 minute video). Highly recommend!

Don't miss out - Impression of dismay when we realize that the unthinkable happened a little over a century ago. Colonial system pushed to the point of abomination in our old Europe. Poignant photos and chilling story. Do not miss. Well done.

The Simple Truth - This museum told the story in simple facts. We learned a great deal, enjoyed ourselves as we watched a short film, and the staff were very helpful.

Exhibition of Ireland’s tragic past - If you know nothing about the Famine, then this will be an informative hour. Personally, I found nothing that I didn’t already know or could have accessed on-line. It’s one dimensional with large pictures on the walls. The entry price should be halved.

Would recommend if not so expensive - basic pictures and reading layout - This would have been 4 rating if less expensive, even if a private exhibition, and I certainly wasn’t expecting it to be ‘free’ but don’t believe it should be more than €6 an adult maximum (it’s twice that at €12 euros each) - for that price I wouldn’t recommend The information is 50 or so poster style pictures with text, which I read it all and found interesting. But the video is pretty much a replay of the info already read and there is no interactive element or much else included. Situated in a shopping centre next to a Chinese Buffett restaurant I would say charge less and reviews would be better and more people would go as is an ok exhibition.
