Awesome place and lovely staff! - Awesome experience with many thanks to Anastasia, we did the museum itself around midday and were in there for over an hour, I've been to loads of wax museums around the world and this one was definitely a stand out. Some great characters, loved the horror section and Mrs Brown at the end absolutely sold it for us. Whilst we were going around we realised they did a murder mystery in the evenings, which me and the Mrs are really into, we had a chat with Anastasia and she said we'd be welcome to come back and do it and she said she would remember us. We got back at 5pm and there she was big smile on her face. Pulled out the info and took the time to explain it to us and back in we went! The murder mystery was awesome and we managed to get the right person so were well chuffed. They also do souvenir pictures which we got and was really nice. Awesome experience, big thanks to Anastasia for her awesome customer service.

An Unexpected Delight - We loved this museum. It wasn’t crowded. It was well-lit for photos. Most of the wax figures are well-done and they are as realistic as Madame Tussaud’s. There is a Hall of Mirrors that was fun. And the horror part in the basement was super creepy - not to be missed!

A fun niche experience - Overall this was pretty cool. However, most of the gadgets in the science section were broken so that was a bummer. Also, the paths weren't very clear so my husband and myself missed the section with political figures. It could be done a bit better but it was a cool experience that the family enjoyed. It is nice that admission includes a rock and roll museum. We didn't have time to catch that museum though.

top - We went there a bit by chance and frankly, we had a great time (especially in the horror corner which is frankly well done and which gave us some scares). The staff is very welcoming. Nice to do. (The only downside is the somewhat "cluttered" side of the beginning of the museum. Where there are a few wax statues mixed up in all directions).

Good experience - Well laid out and plenty to see, lots of different interactive sections and varying topics covered eg science, history of Ireland and celebrities. Finishes on horror house or enchanted forest that we weren’t aware of and was unexpected. Staff were all lovely

Disappointing - Don't expect Madame Tussaud. The museum features some famous people and figures related to the history of Ireland. There is also a kind of house of corridor of horrors where there are surprises to scare the audience. Recommendation to someone with children between 5 and 12 who does not know what to do in Dublin on a rainy day.

Needs an Update - The Philomena Lynott, Pope, and Father Ted ones were brilliant. Loved seeing Mr. Pussy there too, he's a true legend of Irish LGBTQ showbiz. The Star Wars ones were brilliant. I don't know why anyone would want a picture of a Black and Tan soldier holding a gun to their head?! Really??!! Some of the figures were brutal, lads. I'm still not even sure if Gaybo was Gaybo. Why was he in the Father Ted room?! Gerry Ryan was shoved into a corner and Superman looks like a big beanie bag. Harry Potter was like a Penney's mannequin. Bono was atrocious, as was Countess Markievicz. We didn't do the horror section because we had small children with us but looking at pics online I don't think we missed much. A lot of the science displays didn't work, which was disappointing. The toilet was disgusting. We did NOT pay an extra €12 for a photo taken with no instruction at the start. We felt like we just wandered around unsure of where to go?! You have to go through a hall of mirrors to get to the main bit but this wasn't clearly signposted. It cost us €59 for a family of four which was outrageous, even for Dublin City. If they fixed the displays, added a guide booklet, lowered the prices and made it a little more cohesive, it would be so much better, even just to go for the laugh. As is, it felt like a massive rip-off. It's a shame, because it's an independent museum so it'd be great to see it thriving, but it really needs someone to come in and overhaul the whole thing.

A museum in need of TLC - This museum is clearly old and needing a refresh. I can see they are trying to improve but it really does need a bit more TLC. The wax models are a bit of a mixed bag. Some look really good and others……look like the person if u squint. I have no idea what the stairwell section was about with all the clocks. The best part was the horror section (not a place for children or people with a weak bladder) it has lots of jump scares and is fun. The gift shop is poor with a variety of things mainly aimed at children but it’s mainly just tourist tat. The staff are all lovely and with a bit more love this could be a super wee trip. I am glad I had the go pass as I would have been disappointed if I had paid the full amount.

Worst wax works not worth a visit - Worst wax works I have ever seen. We paid €18 and we in and out in less than 30 minutes. It was so dad that even Elvis didn’t look like him. And Donald Trump was a joke. Don’t waste your money or time.
