Irish - Viking history edu-tainment at its finest. - Bren is an excellent storyteller. He educated us on the history of Ireland and its Viking influence while entertaining us all the while. It was great walking the Viking quarter with him as he was dressed as a Viking, carrying with him replicas of the weapons and armor. If you are interested in learning about the Viking history in Ireland, do yourself a favor and book this tour with Bren. You will not regret it.

Brilliant Unique Historical Viking Tour - Brilliant! By far the best tour during our stay in Dublin, Ireland. Truly an enchanting walking experience through centuries of Viking history. Our guide and his wolfhound Luna served as a quintessential Viking link to Dublin’s rich history, sharing key details of the historical battles that took place on the grounds we walked together. His deep understanding and passion for learning about his own ancestral past shines through his eyes along with stories of his own childhood experiences and intensive educational research and study. Highly, highly recommend this tour for adults, teens, children, anyone looking for an authentic, unique experience with a knowledgeable guide who has extensive personal experiences of battle and who can truly bring the remarkable history of the Vikings in Dublin to life.

Fab family day out for Dubliners - We had the most wonderful time on this tour with our Viking Guide Bran! He is so knowledgable about this wonderful City. As a family of Dubliners, we all learned something new about our medieval history and the kids had great fun with their Viking war paint and weapons in tow. Thanks Bran, for a super family day out

A Viking to Remember - This tour is a Must Do! As a Travel Agent I spend a lot of time on trips, excursions and tours so when I say you want to experience medieval Dublin and Viking history with this company and specifically with this gentleman, I do not say it lightly.
This Viking Warrior is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, kind, and professional about what he does... he envelopes you into the history, life, and sacrifices of the people, city, and country.
You will walk away from this tour, having been educated, entertained, and ready to pick up your battle axe and go!!

This is one of the Best Tour's I have ever been on! - Myself and some family members including three children recently took this tour. Never having been on a walking tour which chronicles our Viking past and takes us through Dublin's Viking quarter, we didn't know what to expect. Suffice to say we were all, including the kids, more than pleasantly surprised! This tour is without doubt the best one I have ever been on. I highly recommend it.
This two and a half hour experience led by a real Viking warrior is an exciting and adventurous odyssey, an enchanting medley of story-telling, drama, history and entertainment all rolled into one. It is clear from his enthusiasm, energy and authentic Viking warrior costume and weaponry that Bren Mór our host, is the real deal! He is not just a tour guide, he is a Vikophile, raconteur, performer, historian and artiste extraordinaire. His narrative and our journey took us through the main players of the bloody history of Viking invasions to our country right through to the battle of Clontarf and beyond, with interactive and funny titbits and anecdotes which enlivened the experience.
The kids loved the weapons and war paint he let them use, and his spiel which included parts especially to include all children, truly made it an immersive and exciting experience for them. Bren's epic tale is a mixture of gore and guts, war and wealth, families and feuds, marriages, murders, mayhem and more. Dublin city has an amazing wealth of Viking and historic heritage like Dubh Linn Garden which is the site of the original 'black pool' and where the vikings set up a trading base. And who knew that Viking warriors were not just men!
The tapestry also traced Dublin's Medieval Quarter with its chequered and colourful past. We wandered through a myriad of inner-city back allays, lanes, stone steps and haunted hide outs while listening to spine-chilling tales of ghosts and ghouls, wanton women and witches, hangings and harlots, to name just a few!
Probably one of the best parts of the tour was being led to the famous Leo Burdock's chipper and learning something of its history, including some delicious free samples!
Memorable, exciting, historic, this was more than a tour. This was an experiential journey I will never forget. Do yourself a favour and take this tour. It is great value for money and well worth it. Bring your significant other! Take the kids they will thank you for it! Treat yourself. You won't be sorry!

Authentic and Accurate - Great for whole Family - Authentic and Accurate! I was in a group from 10 yrs old to 80 yrs old and our fearless Viking leader tailored the content to be appropriate for the kids including them in the action and made accommodations for those who had trouble with stairs. I was very impressed with his knowledge. I had three teenagers with me that stayed engaged because of the living history approach of our guide. We could picture what we were hearing! I would take the tour again.
