• Pile Gate - Welcome to the historic center of Dubrovnik!
  Join this two-hour tour to uncover the secrets and marvels of the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey begins at the Pile Gate with an introduction to the Republic of Ragusa and the remarkable way its people preserved their independence for many years.
• Fort Lovrijenac - Here, the city walls and fortresses built by the people of Ragusa to protect the city will be discussed, along with the reasons for their construction. Please note, the tour will not include walking on the walls.
• Franciscan Church and Monastery - Upon entering the Old Town, some of the most renowned architectural examples will be encountered. Among them is the Franciscan Monastery of Dubrovnik, a prime example of Franciscan architecture in the city. Established in the 14th century, the monastery is celebrated for its understated elegance and its Gothic-Renaissance cloister. The intriguing history of Dubrovnik’s aqueduct system will also be highlighted.
• Stradun - As the tour proceeds along one of Europe’s most famous streets, insights into the earthquakes that have impacted Dubrovnik and the architectural responses to these events will be shared. Additionally, the history of Dubrovnik’s Jewish ghetto will be explained.
• St. Blaise’s Church - The Church of St. Blaise stands as an iconic symbol of Dubrovnik, dedicated to the city’s patron saint. Its Baroque architecture and striking façade are exemplary of the city’s cultural heritage. Meanwhile, Sponza Palace, a splendid Renaissance building, once served as the customs house and treasury. Its graceful design and historical role as an administrative center make it an architectural treasure not to be missed when visiting Dubrovnik.
• Rector’s Palace - In front of the stunning Rector’s Palace, the functioning of the Republic of Ragusa’s government will be explored.
• Church of St. Ignatius - The Church of St. Ignatius is a magnificent representation of Baroque architecture in Dubrovnik. The famous Jesuit Steps, a symbol of Dubrovnik’s Baroque style, are also renowned for being a filming location for the series Game of Thrones.
• The old port - The tour concludes at Dubrovnik’s Old Port, where the relationship with the Ottomans and the fortresses in this area of the city will be explained.
