The perfect way to experience Dubrovnik - We loved this unique tour experience. We started with a walking tour of Old Town, with its rich history — from St. Blaise and the Venetians to the harrowing attack in 1991. Our outstanding tour guide, Dorotea (or Tea — pronounced TAY-ya — ask for her!) was enthusiastic, brought humor and great insight and detail. Then, the drive to overlook Old Town, as well as seeing the beautiful Franjo Tudman Bridge and spring source of the Ombla River provide a full perspective of the city. I can’t recommend it enough!

An unforgettable day in Dubrovnik thanks to Horizon Tours (thanks Ana, thanks Elmir) - Any cruiser who does not necessarily want to book his shore excursions through the respective shipping companies (shore excursions are offered here for the most part both in advance and on board themselves, with a far inflated price) and still wants to get to know Dubrovnik in a safe way, the team around Horizon Tours is absolutely recommended!!! We visited the city on August 15, 2024 during our cruise with 10 people. Pre-booked and paid we were picked up on time in front of the cruise terminal and taken to the starting point for the first part - the city tour. For all those interested in German-speaking Ana is highly recommended as a tourist guide!! A "child of the city" who has returned from Germany can feel the love for her homeland and the passion to bring guests closer to her city! With perfect German, a high degree of expertise combined with a sympathetic sense of humor, she guided us through Dubrovnik's old town. Afterwards, the panoramic tour started with two minibuses. From the Franjo-Tudman Bridge there is a magnificent view of the harbour and the cruise ships anchored there. Continue to Ombla - the shortest river in Europe and of course up the Srd - with a wonderful view of the old town. Our driver Elmir spoke good German, was helpful and sociable. His cheerful nature matched a carefree holiday feeling. Thanks to both Ana and Elmir for the wonderful time with you. Finally, two tips: A) If you both want to know the history of Dubrovnik and want to take beautiful photos for your travelogue, Horizon Tours is the best place for you. While Ana took the time for us to take photos - in places where we wanted to - you could see how the groups who had booked through the shipping companies were "smuggled" through the city to get information in time at the neuralgic points. B) Anyone on the Srd would only like to reconsider a planned ride on the cable car because of the well-known "postcard photos. Cost for round trip € 27,--!! The bad thing is - you can't take these photos from the mountain station of the cable car - because the wire rope or the supports always impair an unobstructed view of Dubrovnik. At Horizon Tours you pay € 45,-- for this tour you also get the personal service - because Elmir (but also his colleague) parked the bus during the approach below the mountain station from where we could take the best photos of ourselves and Dubrovnik!

Great panoramic and city walking tour ! - We were very lucky to just have about 8-10 people on our tour, so it felt very private . We came off our cruise ship and walked right outside to meet our tour bus at bus terminal . We met our driver Elmir who drove us right to old town to meet our tour guide Dorothea. It was raining and she did her best to keep us dry while providing a very thorough walking tour . After old town tour Elmir resumed the panoramic part of our tour taking us to the hills above the city where he assisted with taking photos . What beautiful views! Only negative part of this tour is that our bus was having some brake issues and Elmir was forced to swap our bus with a different bus in the middle of our tour. Which was very concerning for our group. Overall a great tour ! Would definitely recommend!

Bad experience in a beautiful place - My most memorable part the hardship we went thru to find this tour. After waiting for 30 minutes for our tour bus at the port, we took the free shuttle to downtown (still could not find it), went back to the port (still could not find it) Checked with the police at the port entrance who told us our tour bus did not get a permit to enter the port. By this time, we already missed half of the tour, was too exhausted from the heat and what could be a mile from walking and decided to give up when we saw a lady with the tour company sign. She got us into a taxi to catch up with the walking tour and gave us a box of chocolate to make up for the big mess. The rest of the cruise went very well. We had a good walking tour guide and Aki, our van driver was excellent.
