As you travel, soak in the aroma of verdant Mediterranean flora melded with the tranquil blue of the Adriatic sea, the Elaphites Islands, and the stark white limestone mountains.
Our journey takes us along meandering roads through villages which epitomize rural country living, past stone quarries, and across olive groves framed by dry stone walls. We arrive at Ston, the Republic of Dubrovnik’s second most significant town. Here, you can explore the township, traverse the ancient city walls, and visit the historic salt pans that have been in operation for several centuries.
At Ston Minor, we’ll have the chance to sample the excellent local oysters, accompanied by wines from the Pelješac Peninsula. On our return journey, we’ll take a brief respite at Trsteno to appreciate the immense ancient plane trees that have borne witness to history up to the present day.
