Highlights
  • Dubrovnik Walks - Meeting point. Guide will introduce him/herself to the group, give a brief summary of the tour, together with some basic point on what we are going to talk about and what we are going to see on the tour.
  • Pile Gate - Main Western entrance to the old town
  • Walls of Dubrovnik - We’ll purchase city wall tickets, stroll the walls, and enjoy Adriatic Sea’s blue hues. Your guide delves into their history: once, a single wall enclosed the Old Town after the 11th-century earth cover-up of the sea channel. Restored to its original look over time, you’ll explore Fort Revelin and Minceta Tower within the walls, understanding their strategic importance. Spot Fort Lovrijenac, separate yet part of the walls, visitable post-tour. Learn of Dubrovnik’s past defenses, political struggles, and diplomatic feats, ensuring its independence as a republic. Tour concludes near the port. *City Walls entrance fee not included.
  • Luza Square - The main square of the old town, several stories covered here (St.Blaise’s church, Orlando’s column, Sponza Palace, Small Onofrio’s Fountain, Bell tower…)
  • Old Town - On this part of the tour we take you deep into the city’s 1,400-year history, recalling ancient tales when Dubrovnik was one of the world’s most prosperous port cites. It tells tales of war and lets the tour-goer in on the culture of the city.

We begin our journey through history and through Old Town. Pass the Franciscan Monastery and admire Orlando’s Column, a monument on the Stradun inspired by the city’s long-standing freedom and sovereignty. See, too, Onofrio’s Fountain, built in 1438 at the end of a 8-mile (12-km) aqueduct that gave the city its water supply.

The walk also passes by the Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace and the Cathedral of the Assumption, a baroque church built after the devastating earthquake of 1667.

  • Porat Dubrovnik - This tour ends close to the old town port

Walking Tour with Great Guides! - Great walking tour. My partner and I did the 3.5 hr tour with Dubrovnik Walks. The meeting point for both my tours were right outside the Pile Gate next to a bus stop. My first tour was the Old Town tour with Branko and right away, I knew we would have a good time. Branko was full of energy and humor. My partner and I could tell he was very passionate about his job as well as stories of Dubrovnik. He was also engaging with the group which was something a lot of guides lack. We would highly recommend Branko as a tour guide to anyone considering. We learned so many new things about Dubrovnik that we had no idea about and some were very interesting things, including the war and the bomb marks in Old Town. My second tour was at 3:30pm which gave us a gap to rest up. The second tour was with Davor and he was great as well. He really knew his stuff and gave us some good tips regarding the City Wall tickets and the discover pass. He walked us along the wall and gave us great spots to take photos in and gave us a lot information about the wall as well as war stories (that were more in depth). Overall, we had a great time with both tours and would recommend it to family and friends if they were considering a walking tour.
