Highlights
  • Dubrovnik Walks - This is our meeting point, we all gather here, the guide briefly presents him/herself and off we go! 1,5 h tour begins!

Dubrovnik never fails to awe the visitor; its streets paved with white limestone, its walls crowning the city, and its medieval sandstone-colored houses oozing with history.

This 1.5-hour guided walking tour takes you deep into the city’s 1,400-year history, recalling ancient tales when Dubrovnik was one of the world’s most prosperous port cites. It tells tales of war and lets the tour-goer in on the culture of the city.

After meeting in Pile area, in front of Sky bar, begin the journey through history and through Old Town. Pass the Franciscan Monastery and admire Orlando’s Column, a monument on the Stradun inspired by the city’s long-standing freedom and sovereignty. See, too, Onofrio’s Fountain, built in 1438 at the end of a 8-mile (12-km) aqueduct that gave the city its water supply.

The walk also passes by the Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace and the Cathedral of the Assumption, a baroque church built after the devastating earthquake of 1667.

A brilliant experience all round - we learned loads about beautiful Dubrovnik and had a really enjoyable time! - We went on a Old Town Discovery tour on Wednesday morning and had an absolutely incredible time! Our guide Branko was phenomenal. Not only full of facts and insight about the city, but he told his stories with great wit and humour, and our group was laughing the whole way round. He also kept the whole group really engaged throughout the tour, and warmly welcomed questions from us all. We would thoroughly recommend a Dubrovnik Walks tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the city and have fun at the same time!

Great insight into the Old Town - Very professional insight into the old town of Dubrovnik. Branko our guide shared a great view into how the old town had developed over its existence. With his own personal stories of the war in the 90s. Lasted approximately an hour and a half and would recommend anyone visiting Dubrovnik to take this tour.
