Dubrovnik never fails to awe the visitor; its streets paved with white limestone, its walls crowning the city, and its medieval sandstone-colored houses oozing with history.

This 1.5-hour guided walking tour takes you deep into the city’s 1,400-year history, recalling ancient tales when Dubrovnik was one of the world’s most prosperous port cites. It tells tales of war and lets the tour-goer in on the culture of the city.

After meeting in Pile area, in front of Sky bar, begin the journey through history and through Old Town. Pass the Franciscan Monastery and admire Orlando’s Column, a monument on the Stradun inspired by the city’s long-standing freedom and sovereignty. See, too, Onofrio’s Fountain, built in 1438 at the end of a 8-mile (12-km) aqueduct that gave the city its water supply.

The walk also passes by the Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace and the Cathedral of the Assumption, a baroque church built after the devastating earthquake of 1667.

Amazing guided tour ~ Goran was the best ! - We started with the city walls tour and it was very interesting. Goran made sure everybody was doing okay as it was extremely hot already at 9:15 am. I would advise to do the walls before the city walk due to « level of difficulty under the sun ». It’s a 2km walk with steps (1100) so strenuous. We very much enjoyed all the stories Goran told and how open he was about discussing what happened during « homeland war ». We bought the Dubrovnik pass to have access to the walls as you need a ticket.

amazing guide! - Goran was amazing! He was full of useful and interesting information about the city and was open to questions during the tour. He kept the activity entertaining and fun even though it was really hot outside. I would definitely recommend!

Very interesting - Goran was very resourceful and interesting. We learned a lot about the history of Dubrovnik throughout the centuries. Goran made sure everyone was okay and that we could stop in the shade. His anecdotes and personal knowledge was very appreciated.

A great use of time! - Goran was a wonderful tour guide! This was my second time in Dubrovnik and I gained so much more from my experience by doing this tour. Definitely worth combining the walls and city tour! He pointed out museums I otherwise would have missed that I could go back and visit. Highly recommend!

A great way to get to know the city both from the ground and from the walls - This was a great way to get to know the city both from the ground and from the walls. Our guide for the old town was Antonia and our guide for the walls was Davor- both were very knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic. It was good to have two different guides for the different parts of the tour as it ensured we covered a lot of ground in terms of content. I’d definitely recommend doing the walls in the afternoon as it’s quieter and cooler.

Excellent tours with Goran - We did both tours with Goran today and he did an excellent jobs, both with explaining the fascinating history of this beautiful city and keeping us as cool as possible on a super hot day. His knowledge was excellent and he was very approachable to ask questions

Great tour from a brilliant tour guide - Davor was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Dubrovnik. In hot weather it can be pretty hard going to do the walk but he managed to keep energy levels up and stay enthusiastic the whole time. We are really glad we did the tour, we feel a lot more connected to the city and we were glad to have a guide as great as Davor.

Goran is an incredible guide! - I can't say enough good things about this tour. It provided me the opportunity to see Dubrovnik from a new perspective physically and intellectually. I greatly enjoyed Goran's storytelling and passion for history. I highly recommend walking the walls as early as possible to avoid the heat and crowds. Goran provided FANTASTIC recommendations on food to try following the tour. All around awesome experience.
