Kotor, a rustic town on the Montenegro coast, is tucked away in an isolated region of the Gulf of Kotor. With a populace of 13,510, it serves as the governing hub of Kotor Municipality.
This old Mediterranean harbour of Kotor is encircled by ramparts constructed during the Venetian era.
