Best way to start off our Dubrovnik trip-tasty and informative! - What a great introduction to Dubrovnik history and a great tasting tour of local specialities! Maris was a wealth of information and was a warm, friendly, and engaging host for a group of strangers. We highly recommend booking with Maris and starting your journey with this tour!

Fantastic Food Tour in Dubrovnik - We had a fantastic food tour in Dubrovnik with Goran of Dubrovnik Food Tours. Vans picked us up, dropped us off in the old part of Dubrovnik, and brought us back. We were mainly outside of the tourist areas, so less crowded, but we also got to see some of the nicest spots in the city. We stopped at several restaurants. The food and drink were all very good. Goran was very knowledgable and entertaining. We were a group of 5 couples. All 10 of us felt this was the best stop of our entire 10-day cruise. Dubrovnikfoodtours.com.

Excellent guide - Goran made our tour so much fun! As a local he knew everyone and was very knowledgeable about the history, too. I would absolutely recommend taking his tour, it was the highlight of our trip to Dubrovnik!

Delicious and fun! - I’m still full and it’s two days later! What a wonderful way to experience the old city! We ate so much yummy food at our stops and tried wonderful wine and spirits. We actually returned to the gelato place (Gianni) and the wine shop (Enoteca) to buy more gelato and a local port we tried. Our tour guide Goran was wonderful, as were the two other families in our group. We had a total of four stops and wrapped up around 8:30. We even took the leftover wild boar pasta and ate it for breakfast the next morning!

Goran - great guide and entertainer - We really enjoyed the amazing food tour and experience with Goran. He kept us laughing while providing insights into the local cuisine and community. The food we had was delicious, and the wine was refreshing! We gained an appreciation of Croatian wines. The highlight was the delicious gelato and digestif.

Good tour but price point should be less - Our guide Maris was awesome and knowledgeable. First stop was charcuterie. Various stops for views. Next stop wine tasting. 3rd stop we had tomato soup and a few local pastas. Last stop ice cream. I don’t think the food inclusions fit the price point. And I wish we had something different than charcuterie for the first stop since that’s everywhere in Europe. Something more specific to the region could be better. Guide was great and met cool people.

Wonderful but not worth the money - Maris our guide was wonderful, full Of knowledge and happy to share. Fun to walk to different parts of the Old City and get some additional history. The folks in the group were fun. The cost is crazy expensive for the food and beverages provided. I think we could have eaten at the Michelin star restaurant for less. Loved it but not worth the money.

Good, but not great. Pricey for what you get. - This was a nice way to kick off my trip to Dubrovnik and to discover the local cuisine. One note: Overall, it was on the pricey side for what we were served. Our guide was energetic and provided some cursory explanations of what we were eating, but not immersive like other tours I have taken. We were a small group of 7 people. The six other people were all friends, so I was "adopted" by them. We had proscuitto and cheese appetizer and wine at Tavulin in Old Town. Lovely setting as we sat outside. We then walked up to a small wine shop for a "wine tasting" that did not offer much wine to taste. We tasted a red and and a white. And the portion was literally a sip. I've gone to many tastings, and this was maybe a 1/4 of an ounce. It was a brief stop...Maybe 15 minutes. We then went to Wanda's, a restaurant up a short flight of stairs and sat outside as we enjoyed more wine (there was a LOT of wine served with the meals on this tour) and had a delicious tomato soup, followed by a family style bowl of Black Risotto and a delicious tomato sauce based pasta dish with a beef or veal ragu. The Black Risotto was okay (not my favorite) and a lot was left over, but the pasta was excellent. I think we all could have eaten more of the pasta dish but didn't think it was an option to ask for more. Service took a while which is why I think we were served extra wine....lol. We then walked over to the port for a gelato. Overall, it was a nice experience, but just pricier for the portions.

Disappointing to say the least…. - We found this food tour quite disappointing. We learned nothing of the food of Croatia and when we went to the small wine store for a tasting, we received a ‘sip’ literally! Most of the servers at the few spots we went to were unfriendly..they appeared to be quite tired of this playbook…. Goran was unimpressive. At the start of the tour he did an ‘around the table’ to learn names and careers, but blew off the last person (a woman) which appeared to be quite humiliating for her. Goran disappeared a least 3 times and left us to our own..we could never figure that out except perhaps that he was bored out of his mind. He did say twice, ‘ come on guys, I need to get home’ towards the end of the tour when we were supposed to be enjoying gelato.
