Our Best Tour Ever! - What an amazing experience! The views, the wine, and the oysters! But nothing beats the dinner our tour guide’s mother prepared for us! It was as authentic as you could get! Everything, and I mean everything was homegrown and homemade! The sausage, prosciutto, the wine! All amazing, but to experience peka! The authenticity left us speechless! Ante was such a wonderful

Split to Dubrovnik the right way - Thanks for an amazing day of Croatian and Bosnian cultural and political history, delicious food and wine, and warm hospitality. What started as an interesting way to get from Split to Dubrovnik ended up being the highlight of our trip - even in the rain! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another Great Trip With Anthony October 2018 - We spent 8 days in the Croatia/Bosnia area,2 of those days were spent with Anthony and we were very impressed with his knowledge of the area, service and humor. One day was spent in Split and the other day was a transfer from Split to Dubrovnik via Mostar. Since Anthonys family is from the Mostar area, he insisted that we spend lunch at his house with a local 4 course meal all homemade by his Mother. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The meal was in dinging area that would rival any first class ranch that I have ever seen. See photos. The meal started with grappa and then quickly went to prochuto, homemade cheeses,a variety of sauces, delicious tomatoes, pickled cherries, olives and homemade bread made under a bell in the deck oven. It included white and red wine private reserve with handmade labels. The main course was brick oven baked veal and chicken with potatoes that melt in your mouth. Dessert was cheesecake and coffee that you could stand your spoon up in. Unlike what you read about border crossings, Anthony took us to local crossings that were no more than 10 minutes waiting. We were most impressed with his knowledge of the area and the history of the past centuries leading up to the civil war in the 90s. When we arrived through or last border crossing the last 30 kilometers was on the Adriatic highway. Most impressive. I would recommend anyone traveling and wanting a personal tour to use Anthony, and if you go to Mostar stop by his family house for lunch

Day trip from Split to Dubrovnik with lunch - The trip to Dubrovnik went smoothly using some back roads and stopping briefly to look at a church and a spectacular view of the karst topography. We walked around Dubrovnik town for a few hours then returned to the car to have lunch and return to Split. This is where we were very pleasantly surprised by a wonderful lunch expertly cooked by the host’s mother. Enormous sweet juicy tomatoes, prosciutto cut from the pig on the table , veal and pork with veggies all beautifully cooked in a traditional peka ; a bell shaped lid in wood on the fire place. All this was accompanied by cherry grappa white and red wine and Turkish coffee. The venue was a restored oak house. After lunch Anthony led us on his vintage USA manufactured six cylinder Honda ..a rival to Harley Davidson to the original stone farm house and subsequent family houses on the hill. Then a trip on a boat on the nearby river to a waterfall. They say they want to return the soul of Croatia to their visitors. With the larger than life hospitality I think they have succeeded. in the fire place. All this accompanied by cherry grappa
