Amazing two hours spent with Ivana - Ivana was our tour guide, and we could not have asked for a more fun, informative guide. She took seven of us all through the Old Town and a bit outside of that area to make sure we saw all of the GOT filming locations. She had photos from the actual filmed scenes which were amazing to see while standing at the exact same locations. She is so knowledgeable about Croatia and answered our hundreds of questions. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Ivana and this tour. Thanks for an awesome few hours!

A wonderful activity! - Jelena took us on a private walking tour today and we had the best time! She is very engaging, accommodating and lovely to talk to and gave us her own insight into the city. Jelena shared stories and perspectives about the people of Dubrovnik, seamlessly combining everything that happened during the filming of Game of Thrones as well as the loaded history of the city. Everything she taught us was incredibly insightful and felt tailored to us and our individual interests. We can’t recommend Jelena more and we are so glad she was able to pass on all of that history to us. The game of thrones side to the tour was also so much fun - even the other two who had never seen the show loved to see and hear about the filming process. Thank you for a lovely day!

A great tour to start your day! - We had a great time with our amazing host Ana! The balance between history and Game of Thrones was perfect and we learned a lot about the croatian history. We had good conversations and got some restaurant recommendations from a local on top :) 10/10 would do again!

Poor experience: worst tour we have been on in a while - Unfortunately compared to the other reviews, my wife and I had a very poor and unpleasant experience. We were staying in Montenegro and requested to do a private tour with chauffeur pick up to and from our hotel, the 5 star One&Only Portonovi. We chose this company as it is part of an exclusive guild called the 'private tours guides of Europe' and we had an excellent experience with members of this organisation in both Malta (Joan Sheridan) and Montenegro (Mladen Lalatovic). However our experience with this organisation in Croatia left a lot to be desired. The one star in this review is for the driver Pavo, who was excellent and very responsive in acquiescing to my pregnant wife's demands to leave Dubrovnik immediately following our disastrous tour, and ensuring we got back to our luxury hotel across the border as quickly as possible. At the time of booking, compared to our experience in Malta and Montenegro, there was no offer of a phone call via whatsapp to get a feel of our wants and desires (as would be expected in a private tour costing nearly 500 euros). Both my wife and I are huge Game of Thrones fans, and having done a full and magnificent tour with Joan Sheridan in Malta (where she secured access to locations closed off from the general public like the fountain where Ned Stark confronted Cersei) we were naturally looking forward to a similar superlative tour in Dubrovnik as well as finding out about historical perspectives regarding Dubrovnik and Croatian history in general (our guide in Montenegro, Mladen provided us with the Serbian and Montenegrin perspective). Our tour guide was Maria and from the very beginning it became apparent she had absolutely no knowledge of Game of Thrones, immediately mixing up Cersei and Daenerys, at which point I had to correct her. There was also no picture guide of the locations (as was present on other tours and also advertised on their website) and no amusing anecdotes about the stars, film crews or other titbits of information that would be warmly appreciated by us. The whole tour was meant to last 4 hours in total but barely lasted 2.5 hours, with information presented as if remembered on wikipedia with occasional filler about the guide's personal life and time spent chatting to local vendors. There was no attempt to ask my pregnant wife how she was, whether she needed water or wanted to sit down. When we asked about food recommendations, we were given a choice of 10 different eateries with no discernible attempt to present to us which one would suit us best. There was also no offer to take photographs of us at interesting locations (remember this was a fully private tour). Towards the early conclusion of this tour, the son of our guide rang her, at which point our tour then came to an abrupt halt soon afterwards (which led my wife and I to assume our guide needed to fulfil childcare responsibilities). The promised end of this tour was to sit on the iron throne (as advertised on their website) but all we were told by our guide was that the 'throne' was located down the street, 4th on the right, as if we were cruise ship tourists who had casually asked her directions. When we arrived at the 'throne' we were told we had to pay in kronas or buy an overpriced souvenir (also in kronas) and as we only had euros, had to decline. After I complained to head office, they first offered to slash the price of our tour by 50 euros, then after we insisted to them that they had wrongly advertised their tour, they said '100 euros but no more' as if we had purchased this tour by the dock 2 hours beforehand and not via head office many months before. Remember we were staying at a super luxurious resort so it is not like we appreciated the discount, especially as my wife gave our hapless tour guide 30 euros as a tip as a humanitarian gesture from one would be mother to another. More bizarrely, head office said that this tour can last from any time from 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on the level of interest, as if we paid for a 240 euro international transfer just to have a quick chat and walk about, instead of maximising our short time in Croatia and asking as many questions as possible. What we would have appreciated is a sincere apology from the organisation and a follow up chat about what went wrong and how they could improve their services. What was especially tragic about this encounter was that our guide in Montenegro, Mladen, offered to arrange a tour of Dubrovnik for us at a much more competitive rate, but said he did not want to take business from a local partner when he heard we were using this company. After this experience, I wish we had ignored this company completely and arranged everything via Mladen.
