We time our arrival perfectly in Majkovi for an opulent homemade meal prepared in the traditional Croatian style, known as “ispod Peka”. Our hosts in Majkovi prepare this meal from the morning itself, which consists of fresh goat cheese, garden-fresh vegetables with homemade salad dressing, and specially picked young goat or lamb that is slow cooked under a large iron bell, also referred to as ‘Peka’.
