Arrival and First Impressions

As someone who has spent years in the luxury hospitality industry, I have developed a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for the finer things in life. My recent journey to Korcula Island in Croatia was nothing short of a revelation. Upon arrival at Vela Luka, we were warmly greeted by Ivan, a member of Captain Zoran’s esteemed team. From that moment, I knew we were in for an extraordinary experience. The scenic beauty of the island unfolded before us, and Ivan’s insightful knowledge of the area made the journey even more enriching.

Our accommodation was at the Captain’s Villa, where we were fortunate enough to stay in the penthouse apartment. The view from our balcony was breathtaking, overlooking the serene bay. It was a view that made leaving the villa each day a challenge. Every morning, we were treated to a sumptuous breakfast, with a variety of choices prepared by the ever-dedicated Blaza. Her culinary skills were evident in every dish, and her warm hospitality set the tone for our days.

Exploring the Islands

The package included the use of a speedboat and a car, allowing us to explore the islands both by land and sea. Each excursion was meticulously planned, offering a perfect blend of sightseeing and relaxation. One of the highlights was a beach buggy adventure led by Andre and Nicco. They guided us over the mountains to a secluded bay, where we indulged in swimming and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic. The tranquility of the bay was a stark contrast to the bustling life we had left behind.

Lunches aboard the boat were a delightful affair, with fresh, local ingredients and a touch of Dalmatian flair. The Adriatic’s clarity was mesmerizing, and swimming in its waters was a rejuvenating experience. Andre and Nicco’s professionalism and friendly demeanor made the excursions even more enjoyable, ensuring we felt relaxed and well-cared for throughout.

A Culinary Journey

One of the most memorable aspects of our stay was the culinary journey we embarked upon. The onshore trip to a secluded restaurant, accessible only by beach buggy, was a gastronomic delight. The meal was exquisite, paired with fine wine and accompanied by stunning views. It was a dining experience that epitomized the essence of luxury travel—intimate, exclusive, and unforgettable.

Captain Zoran, Blaza, and the entire team worked tirelessly to ensure our holiday was flawless. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in every aspect of our stay. As the days flew by, we realized there was still so much more to explore and experience. This trip to Korcula Island was undoubtedly one of the best holidays we’ve ever had, and we are already planning our return next year.
