Grey Mare’s Tail - Half Day Canyoning Adventure. Meet your guide in the car park below the waterfall for your welcome meeting and equipment briefing. Once changed in to your wetsuits and canyoning equipment you and your team will take a short hike up to the canyon entrance. When all the participants have arrived at the canyon entrance, you will all receive a safety briefing explaining the techniques needed to traverse through the canyon safely.
When the briefing is complete participants will receive rope movement lessons.
now its time for the fun stuff the canyoning adventure, explore this epic canyon as you abseil, jump, slide, swim and zipline your way down water falls over rocks and through incredible hidden swimming pools. The final abseil of the day will leave you back in the car park where we started the day.

Fantastic Morning, 100% recommend. - Mike from Galloway Canyoning is an incredible guide who put up with my screaming & talked me through abseiling down a 50ft cliff edge, the man has the patience of a saint & gave me the confidence to do it despite my fear of heights. A master in his field & would 100% recommend! Stunning scenery. Lots of options on this route too for the thrill seekers & the more nervous of us.

Amazing half day canyoning - Mike has taken our three boys for the last three years canyoning and each time they love it more ! No matter the weather Mike and Jo ensure there are plenty of jumps and abseiling amongst Galloway beautiful scenery. Amazing trip not to be missed

Abseiling and jumping into pools. - Abseiling, jumping into pools, sliding down rocks, now that's a day to remember. Instructors Mike and Joe were amazing. Safety was paramount, but having fun was top.9f the list. Everything was at a nice relaxed pace. You do things at your own ability with lots of positives from Mike and Joe. Stunning location and a must for people who need an adrenaline boost.
Good footwear and a certain degree of fitness is needed. Ability to swim small distance 10 meters or so. I managed and I'm 44 with the usual aches and pains. Steep climb at the beginning but it's taken very gentle. Never ever rushed. Our group were so supportive with each other. Lots of laughs with complete strangers.
I gained confidence in myself, jumping from hight, abseiling down a waterfall, and experiencing things I had never done before. The hills of New Galloway is a beautiful place.

Excellent Canyoning Experience - Such a fun day! My husband, son (14) and myself had the best time! Mike was fantastic, so knowledgeable and kept everyone safe. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

- Lower Murray’s Half Day Canyoning - - What an amazing day this adventure was!
Firstly I would like to thank, both of our guides for supporting our whole team during our trip, it was amazing. everyone was so supportive and they encouraged everyone to carry on!
Mike was amazing and was so honest about all the jumps, swims and abseils, I can't thank him enough for all the support! You can tell Mike is extremely passionate about his job and probably doesn't see it as a job, but more as a passion to show people these amazing hidden gems.
It truly was an amazing day out, and sometimes scary 😂 but in the end, it was something I would recommend to do and it is something I would take on again. Mike explained there is no rush when taking part and he was happy to go at a pace that suited everyone as he wanted everyone to enjoy their day! and we can't leave Joe out, He was very calm and professional from the start, and he helped us get suited and booted and ready to set off!
The whole day was fully explained and everything was covered safety-wise, there was an informed induction on all your safety gear and how to use it.
I'm also super glad they included photos in this experience as this is something I will always want to remember as it's an amazing experience.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone, no matter how scared you are, give it a go. But I can say you will leave feeling full of confidence no matter how much you push yourself.

Great Fun and Excitement - This activity is absolutely brilliant for those seeking some adventure and thrills.
Mike and Joe were both very friendly and gave very clear instructions without being too pushy at some of the more difficult jumps etc..
The location is brilliant, good parking and good quality equipment, which you need for this type of activity.
I would highly recommend this company, well done, keep it up. Hopefully do the top section soon.

Amazing Experience - First time doing canyoning and couldn't have asked for a better guide in Mike. Felt really safe at all times, even with icy conditions (wasn't as cold as we thought). Mike went above and beyond, a really nice guy who you can tell loves his job. He was was thorough, enthusiastic and made the experience really fun. Totally recommend it to anyone and everyone. And for the price, awesome value for money considering how much work goes into it!!
