Great company to make your excursions safe, enjoyable and comfortable. - Due to extremely rough seas our ship could not stop at Dunedin. I couldn't get my phone to work on the ship for several days after the tour should have happened. When I asked for a refund Viator was so fast in crediting my credit card. They are an extremely well run and honest company. We've used them in Europe and the Mediterranean and now New Zealand and will continue to use their services on our next trip. THANK YOU VIATOR!

Brilliant tour of The Otago Peninsula. - Chris picked us up on time from the cruise terminal at Port Chalmers. He turned off the main highway and took us along some very picturesque country lanes, something that would be impossible in a full size coach, and we entered Dunedin from the North. After a brief orientation tour of Dunedin, with stops at Baldwin Street (It’s amazing the lengths Kiwis will go to to reclaim a World Record 😁😁) and Dunedin Railway Station we headed off to the Otago Peninsula. Again, we left the main road and headed up into the hills where some spectacular views were experienced. The drive took us to Portobello. From Portobello we went cross country and along a dirt road to Hooper’s Inlet. This was the highlight of the tour. Sea Lion mothers lying on the edge of the water whilst their pups, six or seven, were having a great time frolicking with each other. The drive back to the cruise terminal was along the side of Otago Harbour. We were dropped off in Dunedin and after a wander around got the shuttle back to Port Chalmers. Chris was a fantastic driver/guide and his commentary was not only informative but entertaining as well. The mini coach, although not new, was comfortable.

Great way to see and learn about the area - Really lucky with the weather which helped. Great summary of the area, sites and history. The beach part was amazing, and we were lucky enough to see Sea Lions lazing on Allen’s Beach. Chris was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife too. Have to say it was the easiest port collection from the cruise. You’re pointed to a trip area, and your excursion is on a “departures board”, so you know you’re in the right place. Free wifi at the port too!

Fantastic shore excursion - Had a fantastic shore excursion with Chris seeing the Dunedin highlights and then the drive around the Otago Peninsula, the scenery was beautiful, we saw so many different birds and two large seals, Chris’s knowledge of the area and wildlife was extensive and we learnt such a lot, I can highly recommend this small group tour, pick up and return to the ship was seamless, thank you Chris 😊

Great small group tour - Great small group tour of Dunedin in spite of it being a cold, wet and misty day. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife along the Otago coast.

Half day - Chris picked us up from the ship in a minibus. As he’s lived in Dunedin for a number of years he was very knowledgeable about the area. We went to see the sea lions on a lovely beach, saw stunning scenery and went to the old station and the steepest street. Chris lived in Scotland before NZ so told us of a great pub (The Duke of Wellington) that sold loads of UK ales-great tip thanks Chris 👍🏻 Lovely trip would definitely recommend.

Land of the long white cloud - Tourguide/driver talked a lot about seeing a seal. Suggest when weather is cloudy, rain and fog he change the itinerary because we couldn't see much. Bus seats are narrow.

Bad weather prevented our ship docking at Port - Unfortunately our cruise ship was unable to dock in Port so sadly we were unable to do our trip. This was not due to any fault of the tour operator.
