A Journey Through Time in La Plata Canyon

As we set off on our journey through the La Plata Canyon, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me. The open road has always been a place of solace and adventure for me, a reminder of the countless road trips I took with my family in my youth. This time, however, it was my husband and I, embarking on a new adventure in the heart of the San Juan range of the Rocky Mountains.

Our guide, Hayden, was a wealth of knowledge, sharing stories of the canyon’s rich history as we made our way through the rugged terrain. The Jeep tour was the perfect choice for us, offering a comfortable ride while still allowing us to experience the thrill of off-roading. As we climbed higher into the canyon, the landscape unfolded before us, revealing breathtaking views and a sense of timelessness that only the mountains can provide.

It was a fitting end to our adventure, a reminder of the unpredictable nature of the open road and the ever-changing landscapes that make each journey unique.
