La Plata Canyon is just 20 minutes west of Durango, Colorado, and is rich with old Ghost Towns and numerous old mines to explore along the way. An absolute bucket list item!

- About a 20-minute drive on the highway to the canyon entrance
- Dirt and dust ~ this is an open-air vehicle

- Extra blankets and jackets will be provided just in case you need them.
- Infants and young children requiring a car seat per Colorado Sate law. We do not provide car seats.

Do it - We had a fantastic time. This is something you should do on your vacation. It was a great little jeep ride. We did the 2 1/2 hours. It wasn’t too long. We saw beautiful waterfalls. I would say definitely do this. Our quiet was very pleasant. His name is Tyler. We met amazing people on our jeep tour and we had a blast. Definitely a great event for your money.

Great Tour! - La Plata Canyon was gorgeous! The jeep tour allowed us to fully enjoy the views and take photos without having to also navigate the steep terrain. The top of the 4x4 trail was breathtaking, and definitely not something we could have climbed in our personal vehicle. The tour stops to allow a short hike to a beautiful waterfall that is exclusive to this company. Tyler, our guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining.

Views that few people get to see - We enjoyed our trio up the mountain. The jeep was very clean and our driver/guide was personable, accommodating and knowledgeable. We were the only two people on the tour so had lots of time to talk to him. The scenery was beautiful! One word of caution- the road up the mountain is very rough and it tosses you around, so it's not for folks with back or neck issues.

Fun in La Plata Canyon - We had a great time! We loved that the roads were rough and it added to the flavor of the experience. The scenery was stelar. We had delightful trip mates Hayden was a knowledgeable guide. All in all, a great afternoon!!

A Trip Up La Plata Canyon - The 4 hour jeep tour to through La Plata Canyon was amazing. Our guide Tyler gave us so much information and showed us several beautiful waterfalls. He took pictures of our group whenever we wanted. This was such a great experience for all 6 of us!!🤩

The fall colors were... - The fall colors were beautiful and the driver felt safe and was accomodating. We were disappointed though as it was advertised as waterfalls and ghost towns. We saw no ghost towns and only two waterfalls as this time of year apparently they are dried up, which is understandable, but I feel it should have been marketed as a fall foliage tour instead. I probably wouldn't have paid for it if I would have known we were just going to see fall colors as we have canyons where we live where we can already see that. We were hoping to see numerous watefalls and ghost towns. You may want to change how you market this tour during this time of the year. Also, tour guide spent the entire time talking about people not following "canyon etiquette", the lack of marmot sightings, and how many unequipped cars he sees on the drive every time. It got tiring to hear the same things over and over again through the whole tour.

The content was somewhat thin. - I was shown the view and the waterfall, but as a four-hour tour, I couldn't help but feel that there were generally few highlights. Another comment is that the Jeep shakes quite badly on rough roads, and if something isn't done, that's enough to make you tired.
