A must have experience!! - Our 1st trip was in Sani Pass and Lesotho. Our guide Thami was so professional, knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent driver! The view in Drakensberg is breathtaking, the Basotho people were friendly and we had an amazing time at the Highest Pub of Africa! On the 2nd day our guide was Mr Sotiris, a friendly, kind and a careful person, who knows details and he makes you feel special. We had access to Zulu Medicine Market, a truly unique place! We totally recommend 1st Zulu safaris if you want to have once in a lifetime experience!!

Wow! Look no further, the specialists are there! - What a day! Thank you Thami, thank you Sotiris! We opted for the Sani Pass and Lesotho. So yes... It's a long day since Durban and you have to get up early, but it's worth it. Zulu Safari was on top! Thami, our Guide and driver, Ace. And the surprise of the day, Sotiris, the boss, who accompanied us to stay in touch with the field. Both thoughtful, competent, humorous.... We were really lucky to spend this day with them. 1st stop in Pietermarzeburg, for historical stories about the region. After about 200km of driving from Durban, we reached the border with South Africa. Passports and visas to present (none for French). Now, serious things begin! The long winding road and all terrain awaits us. Open your eyes wide! Animals, landscapes, it's beautiful. When we get to the pass, it's the Lesotho border crossing. Presentation of Paserports. Then we continue to the highest point of South Africa (and Lesotho). On the way back, stop to discover rural life in Lesotho. Then stop at the highest bar in Africa. We descend the famous winding road, admiring the warm colors of the afternoon, on the valley, the Black Mountains. Quel spectacle!! Thank you Thami, thank you Sotiris, you made us live a beautiful day. See you soon, for a next stay in Durban and this time we will leave several days together, to discover your magical country.

Unreliable vehicle Sani Pass Tour. - Very unreliable vehicle. On the way back from the top the of Sani pass the 4 wheel drive system on the cheap Mahendra vehicle would not work. After several attempts the driver had to come down the steep mountain track in 2 wheel drive. This put us in serious risk. The journey down hill took twice the time . Other tour operators we saw had much more reliable Toyota's . I will not recommend others taking risk especially on this Sani pass on this unreliable vehicles.
