NATIONAL LIBRARY
Following this, the tour continues to the remarkable National Library, also located within the Somoni complex. As the country’s primary library, it plays a crucial role in preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Republic of Tajikistan. The original State Library in Dushanbe was established in 1933 and named after the esteemed Persian-Tajik author Ferdowsi. The new national library building, which opened in March 2012, is a visual delight! This nine-story building includes 15 reading halls and over 20 departments. -

The foundation stone for the largest mosque in the Republic of Tajikistan was laid on 5 October 2009, in celebration of the 1310th anniversary of Abu Hanifa Numon ibn Sobit, the founder and leader of the tolerant Hanafi teachings. This significant moment in the country’s history marked the beginning of the mosque’s construction on 12 hectares of land, with the main building occupying 3 hectares. The mosque features three grand entrances, welcoming worshippers with grandeur. It can accommodate an astounding 133,000 worshippers at once, with 43,000 inside the mosque itself and the remainder gathering around it. -
Independence And Freedom Monument - ISTIQLOL (INDEPENDENCE) MONUMENT AND SQUARE
The tour now arrives at the magnificent Istiqlol-Independence Monument, a shining symbol of the Tajik Nation’s pride and glory! Inaugurated on 8 September 2022, the Istiqlol Monument and Istiqlol Square commemorate the 31st anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The impressive 121-meter height of the Istiqlol complex is a truly symbolic structure. The lower 30-meter section represents the 30th anniversary of State independence, while the upper section, soaring to 91 meters, celebrates the independence of the last centuries. The base of the complex is an impressive octagonal pyramid with seven entrances. The designer drew inspiration from the symbol “Crown” and the “Tree of Life,” embodying broad ideas. -

This modern grocery market in Dushanbe opened in September 2014 and covers an impressive 30,000 square meters! The market is located on the eastern outskirts of Dushanbe, with a total building area of 10,000 square meters. The three-story building offers a unique selection on each floor. The ground floor features a fantastic array of fresh fruits, tortillas, legumes, meat, chaka, spices, and dried fruits. The second and third floors house a vibrant mix of clothing stores, cafes, and service salons, including financial and communication services.
