There is no limit to what you can discover while sailing with Virgin Islands Day Sailing. Come along as we explore the most stunning locations around the Virgin Islands. Create lasting memories as you experience spectacular sailing destinations with your loved ones.

Full-day excursions depart from our slip in Sapphire Beach Marina, St. Thomas at 9:00 am (boarding begins at 8:30) and return around 3:30 pm. If everyone is on board early, we’ll set sail ahead of schedule.

Enjoy the views and our open bar as we sail. Our destination will be the St. John National Park and the beautiful surrounding cays. You will have the opportunity to discover why many say that St. John offers some of the best snorkeling and swimming spots in the Virgin Islands.

We typically visit two different locations with a freshly grilled lunch served between stops. Our destinations are chosen based on wind, weather, and crowd conditions. Our aim is to avoid the spots that are popular with cruise ship excursions.

If your celebrating a special occasion or have a special request, please reach out to us directly so we can provide a customized experience.

If arriving by Cruise ship, please reach out to us directly to make sure that your port times will work with our sailings.

Please be at the meeting location at least 15 minutes prior to the departure time. Time listed are departure times. If you miss the sailing there will be no refund.
If you are arriving by cruise ship, you must reach out directly to the tour operator with your ships name and port times! Not all times will work with our schedule. No refunds will be offered on the day of departure if your times don’t fit with ours..

We're located in Slip S-18 at Sapphire Beach Marina. The slip is located on the backside of the marina. If driving, we have ample free parking. If arriving by taxi, have the driver drop you at the Marina office. Proceed to slip S-18. The Slip is on the back side of the marina from the parking area.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Excellent intimate excursion… even for those traveling solo - Mark and Rusty were amazing. As a single mom traveling with a teenager, I am always overly cautious about booking excursions. Mark and Rusty have very well deserved excellent reviews. I was looking for a semi private trip and that’s exactly what we got. I felt safe and at ease the entire trip. Their extensive knowledge of the area was an added bonus. Highly recommended… even to those traveling alone or with children 😎

Worth the money. Family had an amazing time. - Amazing time with Mark and the Crew. Very family friendly. First time in a sail boat and my kids loved it. Mark took us to some amazing reefs and we saw a lot of fish. He also took us to a beach where there were many turtles to see. Food was delicious. I wish I could have tipped them more.

Trip to remember - Mark and Rusty made an already great sail and snorkel experience into an amazing memory. Both are two of the most genuine people to be running this tour as from every detailed insight to locations, to their aid in spotting ocean life, to their hospitality, they helped make our trip unforgettable.

Relaxing boat trip - Really good trip, this is a relaxing trip, we saw turtles and lots of other fish and sea life, snorkel equipment was good, lunch was a nice touch very tasty. Drinks were very good. All round a really good experience. The crew were very knowledgeable and found answer any questions. A very good day out would highly recommend.

Magical sailing and snorkeling day! - We had an incredible day sailing to two pristine snorkeling locations- a beautiful reef with tons of tropical fish on a cay outside of St John and another cove on St John with many sea turtles and a tiny gorgeous beach with interesting formations. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to make sure we had a wonderful day. Lunch of fresh grilled chicken and pasta and ice cold cocktails and sodas for the kids. We had an amazing day! Thank you!!!

Unforgettable! - Mark and Rusty made this day truly an amazing experience we will never forget!! The stunning scenery and snorkeling were unforgettable. They made us a delicious lunch compete with white table cloth and service to match. Having such a small personalized tour made this such a fun day!! We got to see turtles, TONS of gorgeous fish, an octopus, and manta rays. Highly recommend!!!

Cherished memories! - What a day! We booked this trip to celebrate my birthday and our 40th anniversary. We are so grateful we chose wisely! Mark & Rusty started our day with a safety overview and highlights of what to expect for the day. The sailboat is clean and in great shape. The narrative of the islands and history was a plus. We snorkeled in 2 different spots where we saw turtles and lots of colorful coral and fish. Just beautiful! Mark also cooked our lunch on a grill while we were snorkeling and it was wonderful getting back to the sailboat to a set table, with sides and all! Oh, and we must not forget the wonderful cocktails Rusty made for us! We were feeling pretty good and so relaxed on our return, we will cherish the memories that Mark & Rusty (and the other 4 guests) helped us make on this day! Highly recommend!!!!!

Not recommended - Sitting on the boat for 5 out of the nine hours twiddling our thumbs! E only went to one beach and a run down bar the whole trip. And would have had a more inhale last day on St. John or even St Thomas. It was suppose to be 4-5 different places but bc we sat at customs and got turned away at the first place we didn’t have time to do the excursion but was not offered to extend it after we got back to the US , but had to pay way too much money for nothing. Carly was very sweet and very helpful, made sure we had drinks and anything we needed. The captain was not very friendly, very blunt!!
