Good experience. - Great time skating with my son. Also nice to just show up and skate any time on Sunday. Most rinks only have a small time slot for public skating. Price includes skates.

Great ice rink at a cost - The ice skating rink in the American Dream Mall is open to public ice skating on Fri -Sat from 11am-10pm, all other days it is upen from 11am-9pm. I love the large glass ceiling which creates an upbeat outdoor ambiance. The rink itself is NHL regulation size. Unlike other ice skating rinks this is rink keeps the air temperature at a comfortable room temperature of about 70 degrees. There is regular maintance of the ice with the Zambon which takes about 10 minutes.. Time lost with the Zamboni is given back. Your 1 hour time limit is recorded on a wristband given to skaters upon the beginning of their alotted time. Tickets and alotted time can be made on-line. Ticket prices start at $25 dollars during non-peak hours otherwise the cost is $29. The $25 dollars includes ice skate rentals and helmets.. You have a choice of figure or hockey skates. The rental skates are really nice. Bringing your own skates will not reduce the price. Locker rentals are $5 per hour. Seal and box skating aids are also included and are on a first come first served basis. There are two lines for entering on the ice, 1) those with reservations 2) those without reservations. By comparison, Cody Arena in West Orange which is not a nice as rink costs $9 for an hour and a half on Sat & Sun for public skating 11:45-1:15 or 2:00-3:30. The Ice House in Hackensack and Ice World in Wayne are also more reasonable.

Crowded, disorganized, expensive - Bought tickets online for a specific time and they didn't let us on the rink until an hour after it was booked. It was a madhouse -- so pretty ridiculous when the employees eventually asked everyone to form a straight line to get onto the ice. Lockers for your purse and shoes are $5 and if you need to open them to get something out, you have to pay $5 again to put your stuff back in. We stuck around the mall to shop afterwards and I was charged $30 for parking because apparently there's a 4-hour max limit on Giants game days. WHAT? Called to complain about the parking and customer service was clueless. They thanked me for "living out my dream," or something equally as obnoxious. I like having so many attractions all in one place, but the prices really are absurd and the staff look like deer in headlights at all times.
