Spectacular - The full-day tour to Mindo was great and above all the kindness, dedication and knowledge provided by our guide Irene was wonderful. The butterfly garden, the bird watching, the chocolate tour and the tour in Mindo, each with its charm, was Spectacular. Thank you for the quality of people who, with all the love and so much knowledge, leave a mark on our hearts. Thank you very very much

Amazing day in Mindo - We took the full day mindo tour and our tour guide Francisco was super nice and fun, he spoke both English and Spanish for those in our group and wanted to make sure everyone had a great time. We hiked and saw many beautiful waterfalls, took the cable car. Ate lunch (not included but delicious) and ended with the chocolate tour and tasting. I highly recommend the tour and if you are lucky enough to get Francisco as your guide, you will also get some amazing pictures if you hand him your camera! Also recommend to wear good hiking shoes and bring a swimsuit if you are brave enough to get in for a swim.

Outstanding guide - Daniel, our guide, was fantastic. During the waterfall hike, the other person on the tour and I began to struggle and Daniel could not have been more professional, caring, and helpful. The hummingbird experience was my favorite part of the tour.

Great tour Great guides!! - Our guides Danny and Jorge were excellent. We were lucky enough to have a private tour even though we signed up for the small group tour. The hike through the Mindo forest was a really refreshing change from the busy city of Quito. We got to take a quick ride on a cable car across the forest and on our hike we got to see 6 waterfalls. The chocolate factory tour was great - we got to eat so much chocolate, eat raw cocoa beans, drink hot chocolate, have a fresh brownie baked with the factory's own cocoa powder, and learn how chocolate is made! Overall a great tour and our favorite in Ecuador.
Everyone took COVID precautions - wearing masks all the time. Even the cable car was sprayed down with disinfectant after each group.

Mindo Full-Day Tour - Daniel, our tour guide, was great!!
We used a tarabita (cable car) to visit waterfalls, butterfly sanctuary (no hummingbirds visible due to rain), and had the opportuntiy to zipline. We then ventuted on to Yumbo's chocolate factory, and stopped for a great meal in Mindo. Definitely, a full-day's worth of fun entertainment.

Not for me - While not the fault of the tour organiser, I found this tour a bit awkward as I was the only person. It was also just probably the wrong tour for me - there were many activities not included (and I can understand why - they were adventure activities that not everyone would want to do). However, as a single traveller who didn't want to do adventure activities, this tour was a bit flat for me. The hike was nice, as was the cable car, and the hummingbirds were great but probably not value for money for someone like me.

Beautiful Mindo - It was so easy to let the driver take me to Mindo town where I selected three activities at the tour office. For an additional $20.50 I did the waterfall hike, Mariposa center and chocolate factory tour. It was a fun filled day in nature.

Poor Communication - The tour itself was great - and Daniel was a solid guide. However, we paid up front for a tour with the entry tickets paid for in advance. However, Grey Line/Expedia/Chase Bank can't communicate effectively and Daniel was unaware we paid in advance and was not prepared to pay for our entries. We had to pay a good amount out out pocket that we weren't ready to pay - just to keep the tour going - and it put a damper on the day. We are still trying to get at least a partial refund and we are losing our patience with all three entities.
We particularly enjoyed the Butterfly farm and the Chocolate Factory.
