Isabela Island - Option 1: Itinerary for flights arriving at Baltra before 12:00 PM
Upon arrival at Baltra airport, an English-speaking guide will greet you and take you to Puerto Ayora for lunch. Afterward, you’ll board a speedboat to Isabela Island. The ride can be bumpy, so it’s advisable to have a waterproof jacket and motion sickness medication if needed. Once on Isabela Island, a driver will transport you to your hotel.
Santa Cruz Island - Option 2: Itinerary for flights arriving at Baltra after 12:00 PM
For flights arriving after 12:00 PM, you’ll spend the first day on Santa Cruz Island, as the last speedboat to Isabela Island departs around 03:00 PM. Lunch will not be provided in this case. The typical tour schedule is as follows: Day 2: Santa Fe, Day 3: Bahia half-day tour & Charles Darwin Station, Day 4: morning boat to Isabela, Los Tuneles, Day 5: morning boat to Santa Cruz and transfer out.
Flamingo Lagoon - Snorkeling in Los Tuneles
Los Tuneles - Begin your day with a visit to Flamingo Lagoon, the largest coastal lagoon in the Galapagos, home to vibrant pink flamingos. Then, take a boat from Puerto Villamil to Los Tuneles, Isabela Island’s premier snorkeling destination.
Explore the clear, calm waters and encounter wildlife such as sea lions, marine iguanas, manta rays, Galapagos penguins, and more. This 6-hour adventure includes boat rides, a snack, and a short hike.
Charles Darwin Research Station – Bay Tour
Charles Darwin Research Station - At 06:00 AM, head to Santa Cruz Island for breakfast. Then, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, where guides will share insights about the famous giant tortoises. After lunch, embark on the “Bay Tour” to explore the highlights around Puerto Ayora. The first stop is La Loberia, home to sea lions. Next, visit Punta Camaño Islet for snorkeling with sea lions and a variety of fish. Continue to the Channel of Love, and finally, Playa de Los Perros. This is a 15-minute walk to the beach, where you can observe dog crab colonies, marine iguanas, and stunning scenic views.
Santa Fe Island
Santa Fe Island - Prepare for a unique experience. Today, you will visit either Santa Fe or Pinzon Islands, depending on the Galapagos National Park Regulations, which will be determined on the day of the tour.
If visiting Santa Fe, you’ll discover a pristine bay with crystal-clear waters perfect for an exciting snorkeling adventure. Following this, enjoy a wet landing at Playa Escondida or Garrapatero Beach on Santa Cruz Island, allowing ample time to explore this captivating beach.
Alternatively, the Pinzon Island tour offers a remarkable display of marine iguanas and playful sea lions. La Fe is a picturesque beach surrounded by mangroves and rocky terrain, showcasing a variety of captivating marine life, including sea turtles, small sharks, and colorful fish. During this day tour, you will also have the chance to experience “Pezca Vivencial,” or “experiential fishing,” which focuses on enjoyment and personal connection rather than just the catch.
