Do this excursion with Pedro & Jimmy! - We had an amazing day in Cotopaxi and Banos! The clouds were not the most cooperative in Cotopaxi to get the full view, but Pedro still made the trip interesting with fun facts and the history of this “young” volcano. Next a beautiful drive to Banos. I cannot say enough about this part of the adventure. The majesty of the waterfalls, especially el Pailon de Diablo! Just Wow! Do not miss this! The cable car across the river and back was absolutely thrilling. The walk up to the Tree House has beautiful views of the Andes Mountains. You literally feel like you’re on top of the world as you swing out into the clouds. Pedro and Jimmy could not have been more accommodating. On a mother daughter trip, we felt safe at all times and Pedro and Jimmy opened the door for us at every single stop. What gentleman! Thank you Pedro and Jimmy for this life memory!

Amazing Experience - My tour guide was Diego and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and always making sure I am enjoying myself. Although I didn't get to see the Cotopaxi volcano due to weather, Cotopaxi National Park was definitely still worth the visit. Afterwards we went to Banos and it was amazing. The swing at the end of the world, cable car ride and the Pailon del Diablo waterfall. Very impressive. Due to unforseen traffic we had to make some adjustments to the itinerary which Diego was happy to accommodate. He made sure I still get to see all the sights. It was great day. Thank you Diego for making this an unforgettable experience.

Informative, helpful, and fun! - Pedro, our guide, and Jimmy, our driver, were fantastic! We packed in so many fun adventures in just 12 hours. We would never have been able to see and experience all we did without them! Pedro’s knowledge of the area, his excellent English, and willingness to accommodate us were top notch! We visited Cotopaxi, Banos, lit candles at the Basilica, saw the Treehouse and rode The swing at the end of the world. He took us on an open air cable car to see a waterfall, and our grand finale was visiting the wet, humid, and green jungle while gazing at Devil’s Caldron. We told him we were interested in trying Guinea Pig, so he took us to a restaurant in Banos, so we could experience it! That’s not for everyone, but it shows how flexible Pedro is. It was so nice to relax and let Pedro do all the speaking and driving for us! I highly recommend this tour and Pedro and Jimmy, the dynamic Ecuadorian Duo!

Insightful, a good time to be had - Very Insightful trip Solo trip , was worried it may be awkward but was the complete opposite. Had Carolina as my tour guide, she’s friendly, knowledgeable, and a bubbly tour guide. I know a bit of Spanish but English is preferred, my tour guide was fluent and easy to understand. She also suggested things to snack on during the car ride. She knows a lot about Ecuador, I left knowing a lot more about the people, places ,food and especially the indigenous community. She’s definitely a historical, adventure and city guide she knows her stuff. Lots of places to visit as shown on the list, and each different but with beautiful views. Had fun on the swing although a bit awkward. For the volcano it’s suggest to wear warm clothing especially if you go during wet season as it had very cold wind and also may not be able to see the volcano as it tends to be covered with clouds/fog. Overall, I was comfortable had a good time. She took my pictures and didn’t mind taking extra pictures and took suggestions +tips on how to take pictures. My phone died and I realised I left my power bank in the car so she let me borrow hers for content and also took pictures of me on her one, so she went above and beyond. For the set menu at the restaurant I tend to be picky with food, so I asked her what she goes for out of the two or so options that they provide and opted for the same as hers and it was delicious really liked the grilled fish suggestion. The price is understandable as it’s a very long drive. You get to pass many areas along the journey and get to see interesting sights along the way, you also have a few short intervals (toilet break or to buy snacks etc). Tour guide wanted to stopped at a restaurant where guinea pig is served, until I said I didn’t want any, so she wasn’t going to have it but I insisted since it was a very long car ride and it’s a traditional dish for many. Good trip, Thank you!!!

Book immediately!!!!! - The experience from start to finish with Veronica and Diego was top notch! They picked us up early in the morning and we begin our journey to Cotopaxi andBaños. There was not a dull moment where we felt bored, rushed, uneducated about the land of Ecuador. We felt safe at all times and we were able to see all of the areas that we desired. They were helpful with finding the locations needed to capture great views and pictures!! Btw, we took tons of pictures, and we were able to have a beautiful pictures of the volcano that day. We had a delicious lunch with Diego our driver, and Veronica. Plus, we had limited time to see certain attractions since we were heading to Galapagos next, so this was great for us to hit both places. We decided to pass on zip lining in Banos. If you are lucky to get Veronica, she is a gem. I've been to 75+ countries and truly appreciate how thorough they were on our tour..

A little taste of Cotopaxi and Baños with our awesome guide Ricky - We had such a wonderful day with our fantastic tour guide Ricky. After having some coca leaf tea, we set out on a mission to see Cotopaxi. We felt incredibly lucky that we got a glimpse of the majestic volcano despite it being a super cloudy day. We then walked around Laguna de Limpiopunga, where Ricky introduced some of the regional Flora and Fauna to us. After arriving in Baños, we took a cable car to see a gorgeous waterfall, visited Cascada El Pailón at Rio Verde, and experienced the famous swing in La Casa del Arbol, with a delicious local lunch in between. Given that our time in Quito is quite short this trip, we were really happy to have gotten a little taste of Cotopaxi and Baños through this tour that combined the two. Our guide Ricky was the true MVP, he is knowledgeable about the culture and histories of the places we visited, he took amazing photos for us, he drove for hours in terrible traffic while staying calm and collected, and he just has such a positive attitude and upbeat energy that made our long day fun and enjoyable.

Overall, a fun time! - Veronica was our guide and Jorge our driver for this 14-hour day trip. They were both warm, helpful, and professional. Veronica was an excellent guide with tons of knowledge about the area. The bus was comfortable with seatbelts and sliding windows to let in a breeze. In terms of what to bring, cash for snacks and souvenirs, sunscreen, toilet paper (not all the bathrooms you go to will have it), hand sanitizer, a sun hat, sunglasses, possibly a rain jacket or poncho, and a water bottle. There is a water cooler to refill from on the bus. Dress in layers with quick-drying base cothes and good walking shoes. It is cold at points and hot at points throughout the tour. You may also get a bit wet from rain and the waterfalls. You will not need a bathing suit or sandals. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate so we were unable to see Cotapaxi by hiking to the shelter or at the lagoon. Still it was a beautiful area. We also got quite lucky with bird sightings. It was a very bumpy ride at many points. This was not the fault of the driver but just the nature of the terrain. I recommend trying to sit toward the front of the bus. If you're prone to motion sickness, bring something with you to help. We did the end of the world swing which is in a pretty garden area. It's a good photo-op but a bit scary. They push you quite hard and spin you on the swing. The guy had to literally jump in the air to push my husband and a friend who are somewhat taller than the average American. There seems to be no official height/size restriction but use your judgement. There are other small swings for children and the less adventurous. The cable car is basically a bucket run with an old Ford pick up engine. It must work because people use it as transport to and from work each day. But I skipped it, instead watching the beautiful birds at the nearby feeders. We saw two impressive waterfalls. It is a hike out to one so be prepared. It involved steep hills, slippery stone steps, an inclined suspension bridge, and a second smaller suspension bridge. We got back to Quito quite late, over an hour after the expected end time. We were very hungry as we had not eaten since lunch (which was the best meal we've ever had on a day trip). There was likely more traffic than usual with it being the day before New Year's Eve.
