Don't Miss Cotopoxi during your visit to Quito - We had the most wonderful time visiting Cotopaxi. The day was a full day but not overly tiring and the hike was not very difficult. You will have ample time to reach base camp. Irene our tour guide was awesome. She spoke both English and Spanish very well. She was very engaging and made sure all the guest understood the agenda for the day. She answered everyone's questions both about the tour and of Ecuador. We wish all tour guides were as good as Irene. If you can request Irene as your tour guide you will be very pleased at the end of your tour.

Brilliant tour and brilliant tour guides - Excellent day with Irene as our tour guide. She was knowledgeable, funny and very professional throughout the trip. The trip has plenty of stop offs for food and essentials on the way, and any photo opportunities are catered for too. When we arrived at Cotopaxi National Park, we were brought to the information centre, one of the lagoons and eventually, to the parking area where we began our hike. For experienced hikers it will be no trouble, but you still need to be careful with altitude sickness as the base camp you will hike to is at nearly 5k metres. The hike itself was incredible! Irene ensured we all got back down safely and on schedule. We then went to a nearby restaurant a few minutes from the park for lunch with incredible views and we were encouraged to try a local dish which was delicious, lunch was very affordable. Overall a brilliant day, a special mention for Irene and our driver Mauricio who had the tough job of getting us through the roads in the national Park!

Felipe and Andres made this a dream trip! - Felipe, our guide and Andres, our driver were awesome. They were assets and a credit to their company. Andres always slowed down, even let us off the bus to take photos of wildlife we had spotted. Felipe was clear with his instructions. On the climb, he made sure we were safe. It was an incredible experience.

An excellent first time visiting the Cotopaxi - Our guide Mass was always very attentive to the group, made us all feel comfortable climbing the Cotopaxi, which is not for everyone is easy. In addition, it made everything very enjoyable, integrating us as a group and generating more friendships.
