Hike up to Cotopaxi base camp - Great day out. Despite it not being a particularly long hike, the altitude made it quite a challenging climb - felt very good when we reached the base camp! Amazing views, we also got very lucky with the weather which was great. The tour guide Carlos was brilliant and very enthusiastic - and we got there safely thanks to some great driving skills! The lunch stop was very worth the value and we even had an opportunity to feed the local llamas. Very satisfied with the trip and would recommend to anyone! Luke and Mary.

My experience - Not too suitable for people with altitude sickness no matter age group. Some people had no idea how the altitude will affect your movement of going up.

A fun time - Irene is just the greatest guide ever. When we got to the volcano and I got out the car, I was a little dizzy. Irene gave me the confidence to do the hike. Visiting Cotopaxi national park - I had a really great time visiting Cotopaxi national park. Tour Guide Veronica was awesome 👌. She explained well and led us up the mountain with ease and patience.

Great experience - Booked spontanously the night before and it worked out great. Small group, good guide who shared her knowledge of the country and looked very well after us during the hike at high altitude. We even got very lucky with the weather and could see the top of the volcano. Would highly recommend.

A magical place - The tour was excellent. We had the opportunity to see the Cotopaxi volcano without clouds on 2 occasions that we took advantage of to take beautiful photos. When we arrived at the hostel there was snow so we had the opportunity to experience snow for the first time, although the climb is a bit steep due to the height. The help and explanations of the guide Irene along with the driver Mauricio were very important to learn more about the history of the place.
