RUSTIC RIVER ADVENTURE - This tour offers a nice introduction to the Amazon basin if you are short on time, but want to say I've been to the Amazon. The lodge in Limoncocha is rustic but very comfortable and the food was delicious. Our activities included visiting the nest of the Harpy Eagle, boat rides down the river and a visit to the claylicks of Yassuni National Park. Althought nobody was home at the harpy nest it was still a nice walk through the jungle, spotting monkey and various insects along the way. The claylicks were a spectacular display of colours from the makaws and parotts that visit them and the sounds were incredible.
