An amazing way to see the highlands end learn the history - We took the 4 day tour to the Isle of Skye. The entire tour was absolutely amazing and our tour guide Rose went above and beyond. Our schedule was somewhat flexible and Rose made sure we got to see and do. We saw some amazing sights and managed to avoid the crowds too. Rose was incredibly knowledgeable about the highlands and managed to tell us the entire history throughout the trip using fact and stories. This tour was much better then expected and all the stops broke the trip up so it never got too monotonous. A++ especially for our guide Rose!

Great Driving Tour - This was a wonderful trip and we felt like we were taken care of very well. Our accommodations were great and met our every need, having rooms with 5 beds to accomadate our family was wonderful. We usually get stuckn with 2 rooms and have to split up. All of the Breakfast's were great! Rose was a wonderful guide and as a trained story teller was able to weave in loads of mythology, which my younger children greatly enjoyed and are still repeating parts of them. Rose's knowledge of Scotland's history was very impressive and kept me fully engaged on the long drives. Some of the sites were over touristed and had limited parking, but Rose did a wonderful job of navigating timing and choosing alternate sites that were far more engaging. It is a driving tour, so there is a lot of time spent in the vehicle, if folks want to spend more time hiking and exploring a few key areas rather than seeing a lot of the sites, I would recommend a different tour. Overall, it was a great family experience and I am very appreciative of Rose's engagement and ability to intertwine history, mythology, and geography to make it a complete experience.

Love Scotland - Great tour and our driver Joe was an exceptional driver getting us to our destinations in a great and safe manner especially considering the delays we experienced. If he had more information about certain areas or had a separate tour guide it would have been fantastic but Joe is a real asset to Highland Experience. Accommodation was a very high standard.

4 day trip Highlands - Great for famílias - My experience with the Highland Explorers Isle of Skye and Glenfinnan tour was very good, largely thanks to our exceptional guide, Keith. The program was well crafted, offering a perfect balance of iconic landmarks and hidden gems. From the mesmerizing landscapes of the Isle of Skye to the historical allure of Glenfinnan, every moment was enjoyable despite the fact that Jacobite Train was not operating. Keith's knowledge and passion for the Highlands enriched the journey immensely. His engaging storytelling and friendly demeanor made the tour both informative and enjoyable. Each stop was well-timed, allowing us to soak in the beauty and history without feeling rushed. The small group size fostered a personalized experience, and Keith's expertise ensured we maximized our time. This tour is a must for anyone seeking to explore the true essence of the Scottish Highlands. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. - My sister and I booked this tour based on the description of highlights including the Glenfinnan Viaduct train ride and visit to the Fairy Pools. Neither of these items took place. We were told the day of the trip that the train was cancelled by the government due to safety issues. While I can understand this, the tour company obviously knew of this cancellation weeks before our arrival and decided not to let anyone know until it was too late for us to cancel or reconsider our choice. The tour guide on our trip was very knowledgeable and kind, but she chose what she thought would be appropriate for us to see rather than what was advertised. She did not want to go to the Fairy Pools and took that off the trip. The other major issue was accommodations. We thought we were staying at a local hotel and in fact were advised to make dinner reservations for the first night at the hotel since the choices were limited. When we arrived we were told that some of us would be staying at local B&Bs. When we were taken to the B&B we found that there were no accommodations for dinner available and if we wanted to keep our reservations for dinner at the hotel, we would have to walk back to our B&B which was approximately a mile away up hill. Needless to say, we chose not to do so and forfeited dinner that night. The drive did stop at a local gas station where we could buy sandwiches, not my idea of a nice dinner. The B&B was clean but did not provide the twin beds we had requested and breakfast was cold cereal, cheeses or a local bacon sandwich. We were told those at the hotel received a lovely hot breakfast and dinner. The third night was not much better as the hotel was rather old and dated. It provided no elevators and we had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs to our room. The room had no air conditioning, it was a very warm night and the window only opened a crack. The only positive thing I can say about this trip was the scenery.. It was a beautiful drive and should have been the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately there was a lot of misinformation in the brochure and the company did nothing to update the information soon enough for us to make a decision on rather to go or not. This was not an inexpensive trip and I would expect at least moderate accommodations and decent arrangements made for meals if choices were limited.
