Highlights
  • Bridgend Farmhouse Cafe - This unique tour covers 20 miles, primarily on traffic-free cycle paths. If you need an E-bike for an additional £20 per person, please request it at the time of booking.
We will begin on a cycle path that leads us along The Union Canal, passing canal boats, original 19th-century bridges, and rowers in training.
We then descend onto a cycle ramp that takes us to The Water of Leith, a picturesque walkway/cycle path that passes under aqueducts, by allotments, and through the rejuvenated Saughton Park with its original Bandstand.
We’ll pass by Scotland’s National Rugby Stadium, Murrayfield, and continue towards Dean Village, a World Heritage site. Here, you’ll see Thomas Telfer’s bridge and the original Edinburgh School Board house.
Leith will come into view, where we’ll stop for a refreshment right beside the famous harbour. We then head towards Portobello Beach, offering views of Fife across the Firth of Forth Estuary.

Fabulous trip for all you senses. - FANTASTIC 😍! We loved the fresh air, riding through lovely neighborhoods, parks, along rivers, canals, and along the beautiful ocean front. Our guide, Peter, was very informative and fun. I really liked the idea of our guide taking the photos too. I would highly recommend this bike ride. We wouldn't mind doing again ourselves! Thank you!

Nice ride - Great way to see off the beaten path parts of Edinburgh. Eat first, bring water, and plan for a beachfront lunch. Easy ride, despite the advertised distance.

Lots of incredible views with stunning scenic stops paired with many interesting facts about Edinburgh. Stops for coffee and tea as well. Great guides, great scenery, great overview of the city and its stories - We spent a fabulous day with Gail and Chris learning about Edinburgh and environs. They kept us laughing all day. The tour was beautifully designed to give an overview of the city and really helped ground the rest of our time in Edinburgh. The scenery was lovely and we enjoyed two stops for coffee and treats. Gail and Chris were very patient with unexpected things that slowed us up, and by the end, we felt like they were our friends. 11 out of 10 stars!

Fun Time with Fun Guides - Lee Ann, the owner, greeted us warmly as we walked into Bridgend where A Wee Pedal stores their equipment. We soon met Gayle and Chris who were our ride leaders. The bike ride was easy, enjoyable way to see life around Edinburgh, literally. We rode some back paths, quiet neighborhoods, and crossed busy streets just a few times. Gayle did not try to give us a deep history lesson. Instead, she tried to make sure we had a fun time seeing the sights and sounds of Edinburgh that are radically distinctive compared to wRoyal Mile. She succeeded marvelously!! We take a mini-tour of most cities when we visit—Gayle and Chris easily made this one one of the most enjoyable. I would recommend scheduling a tour with Lee Ann and any of her crew!
