sensational - What a truly superb experience, the show is fantastic and the staff couldn't be more helpful. My Wife had a medical emergency and it looked as if we would have to return to our Hotel, but after she had been attended to by a a paramedic, the Steward staff very kindly found us an alternative place to sit. It was a wonderful experience that we will never forget

Exceptional day and very worth while! - Our day started with a cruise pier pick up and short drive into Edinburgh and city tour. We had time to stop at a few sights for a few minutes but the streets were so crowded! When I mentioned that I am an Outlander fan, Allen pointed out "Printer's Alley" and I was able to go for photos there. The time spent at Rosslyn Chapel was well worth it; what a treasure! We especially enjoyed the talk given by the docents explaining the history of the chapel. The grounds are beautiful and it is a lovely respite from the crowds of Edinburgh during the festival. Next we were off to an early dinner in a local pub which was quiet and welcoming. The food was excellent as were the drinks. The culmination of the evening and why we were here was for the Tattoo!. The Tattoo was a truly remarkable experience that did not disappoint. The variety of performances was outstanding and truly met my expectations for that "once in a lifetime" event. Our guide, Allen, provided great commentary and historical information and handled a mishap at the entrance to the stadium quite well and to our satisfaction. He has been in this business for a number of years and is very experienced and flexible to handle unexpected situations. It is a very crowded way in so allow plenty of time for the walk if you don't have a great private driver like we did! We did get a light rain while there but came prepared with rain ponchos and other rain gear. There was a short wait after the event to be picked up inside the empty stadium but this too was so convenient. I would highly recommend Ecosse and Allen for any travel arrangements. I would attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo again, given the opportunity.

Great time!!! We loved the day we spend in Edinburgh. Al was great!!! - The Roy Military Tattoo on Saturday night was spectacular. And the entire day visiting Edinburgh as well and The Rossyln Chapel and dinner was perfect. Could not have been better. A lot of the success of the trip was our guide/driver, Al! He did an outstanding job and should be commended. Please relay to him that we really appreciated all he did for us.

Amazing - As an 80-year-old single woman I wanted to be sure that I wasn't abandoned by Viator as I had been in Reykjavik earlier in the week causing me to miss my ship! Alan is wonderful as is his crew. He knows how to find you when other companies could care less - he turns every stone and looks in every nook and cranny until he finds you - and I mean literally! The tour itself was marvelous, but the main thing is that you won't get left behind. He takes individual care of his clients. It is the best by far of any tour I have taken. Dinner was delicious too. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than some tours, but you can rest assured he will find you, get you to the proper place at the proper time, and return you to the ship on time. I can't say enough for Alan, his crew, and the tour. Worth every penny!

Do not miss this in Edinburgh! - This is a not to be missed event. The music, marching and light show were amazing! We were in the last row of the stadium, but could see everything! The bagpipes and Scottish dancers were the highlight!

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo - Edinburgh Royal military Tattoo. Having been several times for the last decade, I can honestly say that the show has changed a lot, and in my humble opinion, not for the better. The ambience and excitement is the same prior to the show, but where is the chap who used to have bNter with the crow3, "who's f t om America, who's from Chin, who's from England? Etc, mentions names big shout outs etc, and during the show introduce the acts, not just leave people to try and figure out where they come from. They used to have a kids choir, not NY more. What happened to all the military stuff? Where's the white helmets motorcycles, things of that nature, drill teams from America or somewhere. The mSs pipes and drums are the backbone of the show along with the Highland dancers. But honestly, it's been cut down to just over an hour now. And at £75 per ticket it's lost its audience. I've no doubt it will be sold out as per every year, but for those of us who have been going for years, it's not what this great show once was. Shame. Can't see me attending anytime soon, rather just go to the Fringe and a show. Bring back the military side of things and get it back to its roots. Bring back the commentator.
