Great Cheese Crawl - Xander the guide was excellent. He took us to three cheese shops in the Stockbridge area. We had samples from the shops which he was very knowledgeable about and gave us a lot of fact about the different cheeses. We also had wine at the last shop. The sunny warm weather also increased our enjoyment of the tour. The crawl actually finished at Ian Mellis cheese shop not at Clark’s bar as stated on the guide.

Fantastic Edinburgh cheese crawl - We really enjoyed the Edinburgh cheese crawl with our guide Zander today. He is really passionate about cheese and made the tour so enjoyable. He had lots of good stories, and even some cooking tips! When we read on previous reviews that the tour visited 3 cheese shops we wondered if we made a bad choice. But, we had a fantastic afternoon! We have also discovered new cheeses that we love. We triple recommend this tour

A must for cheese lovers - Absolutely loved this tour. Xander was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the cheeses. Officially we tasted 7 different cheeses but the shop owners were more than happy to give tasters of other cheeses (and pate) if requested. The glass of wine at the end of the tour was also excellent. We bought some of the Comte cheese and we’re looking forward to eating it tonight.

Cheese Lover Excellence - A superb couple of hours of cheese tasting in Stockbridge, Edinburgh with the wonderful tour guide Xander. We visited three of Stockbridge’s most eminent cheese mongers and tried a variety of new and trusted cheese types. Xander was a great tour guide - knowledgeable about his cheese as well as engaging with the group. I’d recommend this tour for any tourist with a love for cheese but as an opportunity to see another side of Edinburgh.

Stories and cheese - Zander was a great host. Loved the energy, stories behind the chefs, and descriptions of the cheeses. Note, you will be standing most of this tour. Hygiene was probably the one thing that put us off. Please don’t talk/speak loudly over the tray of cheeses or at least put a cover over it. Gloves would be nice when cutting different cheeses in the park.

Too many people and not much of a tour - Our guide was great; very enthusiastic with lots of knowledge about the cheeses. However, our tour group was far too large so that we couldn’t even fit into the shops at the same time and spent a lot of time standing around on the pavements. We were hoping for of an explanation of the history of Edinburgh, which we didn’t get. We did get to try some delicious cheeses but haven’t come away wanting to recommend this. Overall slightly disappointing; a tour with so much potential
