My first time in Edinburgh - Really good experience very detailed through the tour our tour guide neave was absolutely amazing she was very passionate about her job she is an amazing storyteller and drew in to what went on all those years ago and humour also

Doomed Dead and Buried Tour - This experience was AMAZING.
My partner and I weren’t sure what to expect going into it having never done a history or ghost tour before but we loved every second.
Our tour guides Shannon and Nicola (apologies if I got the names wrong, it’s been a few days) were incredible, the tour was full of dark stories, facts and history and ghosts and theatrics.
We were given a headset to keep up with the story telling when Edinburgh got a bit too loud to hear naturally which helped a lot.
There’s a fair bit of walking involved so remember to wear comfy shoes!
Excellent experience, couldn’t recommend more!

Well worth the money - Jack was a very knowledgeable guide, and very patient. The tour was very well planned.
As someone who has a disability, they listened and kept an eye to check we were ok and still with the group at all time.
The pace was adapted to suit all participants.

Fantastic tour of Vaults - Great guide and was very entertained by her stories. Lovely mix of history and ghosts. Thoroughly recommend Mercat Tours, they deserve all the awards they’ve won.

The combination of exploring both above and below ground was incredible, especially as we gradually descended underground."

100/10 - Michael is absolutely amazing. I took my parents and my partner and we all unanimously had an amazing time. The stories were extremely well told and the atmosphere was so well set up that we kept checking behind our backs the entire time. Overall an amazing experience and I will be going back!

Edinburgh trip - Shannon was our tour guide and we'd a great time doing the tour. We both really enjoyed it and Shannon's recounting of all the stories was very enjoyable and entertaining, you are brilliant at what you do. Definitely recommend this tour if you are coming to Edinburgh it's great fun

Amazing Tour! I higly recommend! - The tour was great! We my husband and i did it together. Amazing story’s! Love the spooky details! Everything was great! Stéph did a great job telling all the gore stories and tales. She did a amazing job! I really recommend doing a tour with mercat. You get your own headset so you can listen good to what they tell you. I really loved it.
