Edinburgh sights! - I recently took the Bright Bus Tour in Edinburgh, and it was a fantastic way to see the city! Sitting outside allowed me to soak in all the sights, and the commentary throughout the tour was really informative and engaging. I also appreciated the free headphones and sunglasses they provided, which made the experience even better. A big thank you to Gayle and Alan for all their help before the tour! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Brilliant - Brilliant way to see the city. The two day pass was excellent value for money and we were able to everything we wanted to do. Great for the Old part of Edinburgh and then 2nd day the Britannia. Perfect. Staff on the pavement and drivers were absolutely great so helpful and friendly 😀 We couldn't recommend this more.

Enjoyable experience - Very handy and easy to use. Only one bus with the socket points on side of bus and not the seats had numerous points not working but we just sat separately that one time Really enjoyed the commentary and ease of getting to Brittania.

Seeing the city on wheels - I strongly believe that one of the best ways to see a big, unfamiliar city is by using the hop on hop off buses. There are several to choose from in Edinburgh, Bright Bus being one of them. We did the city tour an Britannia tour, stopping on the bus and doing each one in its entirety. The free audio provided interesting snippets of information. It is ultimately good value for money allowing flexibility for your stay. You also get some alternative views of the city at an elivatwd level making for great photo opportunities. However, on balance there were a couple of downsides:- 1. If you do hop off make sure you pay good attention as to where to get back on because I did not find this well signposted/ marked on the map. 2. We were told that at one point the company did have a real time tracker app so that those using the tour could see where buses were. However, this facility was no longer available to users. I think that of these two points were improved then we would have felt more comfortable doing more hopping on and off. Also, it is worth noting that the city tour is much more frequent than the Britannia tour.

An awful experience all around - I could not imagine a worse hop on hop off bus system. I bought my tickets online and had a hell of a time trying to find the bus stops. Their map online is too low quality to read streets. Finally I got a paper map and still struggled because the map is cartoony and the street positions don't match with real life. If you happen to stumble upon the correct stop you'll be treated to an uncomfortable bumpy ride with an absolutely useless audio guide. On four different buses I got three different guides and only the first actually announced the stops leaving me to consult Google maps to try and figure out where I was. The facts and tidbits offered by the guide were almost at random rarely having any connection to your location. Almost all the building descriptions were so generic it was completely impossible to determine which building they were talking about. On two of the buses the guide would skip and stop constantly interrupting and skipping narration. Would not recommend.

Not clear where the bus was - Really bad experience. It was not clears which bus line to take. Walked from cruise ship port to Britannia exhibit which is one stop past the port. Thought I could continue all way around back to port. Waited hour for bus and they said I was at the wrong one driver said I should be across street. Waited there then that driver said I should be back where I was. I just walked back to pier. Lesson learned? Just get on a Hop on Hop off and pay then, at least you will know which route you have they will give you a map
