Arriving at Anchor Close, you are set to meet two acquaintances from an online ghost hunter forum. They have invited you to join an investigation into the 200-year-old mystery of Ichabod Crane’s disappearance. However, as you wait, only one of your new friends arrives at the alley…
- James’ Court - Together with your companion, you proceed to the building in James’ Court where Ichabod once resided, hoping to uncover clues about his disappearance and possibly locate your friend.
Some buildings in James’ Court date back to the 16th century. This area has been home to Scottish writer James Boswell and 18th-century philosopher David Hume.
- Grassmarket - Following a lead from Ichabod’s journal, you visit Grassmarket square. While there, you examine some of Ichabod’s personal items.
- Greyfriars Bobby - At the Greyfriars Bobby statue, you meet a witness who had a frightening encounter with the Headless Horseman.
Legend has it that the dog Greyfriars Bobby was so devoted to his late master, nightwatchman John Gray, that he spent the rest of his life by his grave at the haunted Greyfriars Kirkyard.
- West College Street - Stroll past Edinburgh’s Old College University and pause under a bridge to search for supernatural occurrences.
- Tron Kirk - Your friend remains missing, but you are determined to find her. A passage from Ichabod’s journal leads you to the historic church Tron Kirk. In 1697, 18-year-old student Thomas Aikenhead mocked the Bible outside Tron Kirk, becoming the last person in Scotland executed for blasphemy.
- St Patrick’s Church - You arrive at St Patrick’s Church, the last known location of Ichabod, with traces of your friend leading you here as well.
What might you uncover outside the church that could solve both disappearances?
